Ok here are some reasons why it is easier to grind the fs after th cu.... well you can get like 150k xp per lair and since you pretty much only have to hit an animal once. IE the... whatchuma call em... the pickets that are like lvl 82 you get about 6k wep xp and bout 600 combat xp per of them and since there are like 20 of them spawned at once per lair, a group of 6-8 can take a lair easily in about 5-10 mins... how long would it take you to grind FS PRE-CU?

and now since its double xp week which most of you will be grinding like crazy now you will get double that IE 12k weps xp, and 1.2k combat xp!!!! i got bout 400k combat xp, and 4 million weapons xp in about 4-5 hours so stop whining and since u can hold alot more xp now ... i belive the cap for wqeapons xp is 1.2 mil since for professions like carbineer you need 1 mil xp for master you can get much more xp in one run ewithout having to go to dath and go trade in your xp every 900k xp yo get... and for an added thing you actually have fun in combat now trust me i have had 5 of my friends join me hunting and i have gotten private tells from them stating that "this is fun" and i have completely... well mosly changed their minds about the CU... i know mine has.. i aws completely against it lol... well i think thats it...

Oh yes, one thing before i go.... The mellenchie thing you know that you cant kill him, they will proly fix that in a bit... they cant make it impossible for him to kill or that u need 100 people for it since that would cause a lag fast lol.... they will fix it... probably

hope that helps...

I agree that it is a lot easier to grind XP in a group. I think the problem is not so much that it's too hard to do at all, just that it currently is insanely hard to do solo. I don't think we should be forced into a play style that we wouldn't necessarily choose otherwise so that we have access to a profession that all but requires one to play in the exact opposite way.

I hat to break this to you people but this game started out as a group based thing, just like every other MMO, but buffs, armor, and weapons got way out of hand real quick, so the game became a solo game. Personally I love group hunts their more fun, when you have friends to talk to.

I understand that it is basically a group based game, and I agree that there should be quantifiable rewards for grouping. My problem is that currently they are emphasizing group play to such an extent as to make solo play unviable. These are two equally valid play styles and should be treated as such. I personally enjoy grouping every now and then, but there are times when my goals do not coincide with others in a group. In such a situation, I should be able to advance on my own in a reasonable, if slightly slower, amount of time. I’m not asking to be able to solo everything. I simply want to be able to feel like I am making a noticeable advancement toward my goals if I choose to work by myself.

Before Cu grouping was impossible. After cu grouping is possible and so is solo, but to a lesser extent. I prefer to have the option of doing either, which is what we have now. Before cu there was no option but to solo.........

I think that Grinding isn't exactly a correct term anymore, its more "playing" ratherthen some sort of work ethiceventually reaching some pre-set goal. I just think some classes can't utilize the new system because of how they are designed.

A good example would be jedi. the only way to get exp is to group, and when you group you get visablilty and with the respecing option....

lets just say Bounty hunters arent on the endangered species list (like they ever were before) and wont be any time soon. however, then people debate "jedi shouldn't be easy to obtain anyway" but that is a whole other issue entirely.

anyway, im a pilot, and could care less whats going on on the ground, so im impartial.

though ranger's rule, go rangers. couldn't pay me to respec. lol.

You're right, to a point. Grouping is a lot more plausable now than before the CU, and I applaud the Devs for fixing that aspect of the game, as it was in desperate need of it.However, solo play, especially at high levels (50+ CL) is not as much of an option any longer. I should be able, without worry, to take on a mission that is within 2 levels of my CL.Iam currently a CL 71. The only place I can find missions at or near my level is on the advanced planets. On all the missions I took, even though the mission was rated at around CL 70, the creatures that spawned at the waypoint averaged around CL 38, which means that, even if I manage to take one out, I'm getting 1 XP. However, due to what I hope is a balancing error, these creatures that are 30 CL lower than I am usally will incappacitate me before I manage to kill even one. The only missions I found that I could take on at a level to make the XP worth my time are faction missions, which only spawn three NPCs at most. Comparred to the 6-12 creatures that a lair would spawn, this severely slows down the abaility to gain XP. And even these missions, I feel, are too difficult for the levels at which they spawn, when compared to my level. After taking out 1 of the NPCs at these missions, I would have to wait nearly 10 minutes while my health regenerated to a point where I could safely take on the next one. And if more than one aggo'd on me, I was toast. That point is why, more than anything else, I think that solo play is not viable under the current system. There needs to be a consistent guage between the level of difficulty on a mission and the actually risk involved. A mission that is the same level as I am should mean that I can successfully complete the mission, on my own, while still gaining a reasonable amount of XP, not that I can take out those emeies that spawn for the mission only on a 1-to-1 basis or else die.

I agree 100% with matrix. Grouped with between 5 - 8 guildmates running rebel terminal missions I was able to cap pistols and carbines xp plus all the combat xp that goes with that in about 3 hours. Even without the double xp this is certainly still pretty dam fast. Fighting solo shouldn't be easy but it is still possiable, the xp is a lot slower but if it was just as fast as grouping than why group? Before the CU I hardly ever grouped becuase I actually thought I earned less xp doing so. The new system is much fairer and inline with what a multi-player game should be.

Are you really playing SWG? Whenever I have gone to a mission terminal post-CU it always brings up missions +/- two levels from mine. The only times those missions have spawned creatures at a different level, is when there has been a change in the group since I took the missions. Every other time it has worked fine. So I can get lvl 80 missions on Tatooine, Corellia, Dathomir, Dantooine, Endor, etc.

If this isn't how it works for you, then put in a CSR ticket and /bug it. Because it is working fine for me and the others that I know.
