Thread: All the noobie whining proves the devs did the right thing.

you know, you were a noob as well once. just because you are jelous of others, doesn't mean you have to flame them as you did in other threads.
at least write a constructive post, as some others did in this thread, then i can accept what you are trying to accomplish here. otherwise, go parachuting without a parachute, that sounds like a better help for our community, thank you.

ok, ill do it for him since i agree.
not only me, but a lot of other vets and noobs both think that getting to the village is too easy. i believe they should require more content badges, more location badges, and1 more profession badges (must be elite prof). now, by doing this, not only does this give noobs more experience of the game, but also more prepared for the village. they are more ready to take on the sith, and more that waits in the village. also, this lets them experience the game more before moving onto the almost constant grind they are going to do, since they just want jedi. under the current system, all a lot of noobs see if jedi. they get into the village and grind all the time, but do nothing else. they dont know of the geo caves, the vette, much of kash, space, dwb, etc... forcing the noob players to experience the game can only do good

That is true, this is a business and they make decision based on what is best for the game in their minds - but - as players we pay our monthly fee as well and we should have the right to have a certain stability when it comes to the game.
This game is an ever-changing game and they do change things, I just think that they are being a little un-concerned with the players rights or best interest by just flip-flopping everything b/c there are too many Jedi.
I believe they have switched XP back though - if so, then they are listening to the players. Jedi should be a higher held profession, as it was in the books and movies and I think they are going to eventually get it to where it should be. I think they should just give us the chance to maybe provide feedback since we are the players and life of SWG and then LISTEN to us. I also wish that all the flamers who write the posts about "noobs" would stop also. Just because they grinded their way to SWG easily doesn't mean they should flame people who are stating their opinions of the game and how they feel SWG devs are not treating them fairly b/c the devs areimplementing this XP crap they did. This was unfair to everyone playing SWG even full temp jedi's - but full temp jedis could really careless about xp though huh ....... I guess I wouldnt care either if I didnt need xp....lol

I agree with lengthening the time it takes to get glowie, because people need to experience the rest of the game before they immediately jump to "z0mg I have to get Jedi." I suggest a higher number of badges (including more quest ones so people cannot just do location) required, and more professions mastered to get a feel for the game.![]()

My concern with this sir is turning new people away from the game, although i do agree with some of your statements...Our community as a whole should welcome new players, it only adds to the longevity and strength of the game. So crushing someones dream of becoming a jedi or whatever the case may be could have adverse effects on us vet's as well. I've been grinding jedi since the first phase of the village (didnt have the stomach for the holo grind lol) so I do understand where your coming from believe me, but lets not make it unattainable to those who wish to walk the path.
