Thread: Disabled Speeders at the Villiage

After trying and trying I've finally gotten some friends to play SWG after the CU. Both of them bought The Total Experience and got Free BARC Speeders....quesiton is this. One of my friends while out fighting the other day had his BARC Disabled. I was like....uh dude I think you lost your BARC. He stored it went ot Parking garage and called it out and clicked Repair and it went ot full life w/o costing him anyhting. Is this something so limited edition vehicles don't get blown up since you can't get another or was he just the lucky one who got some bug that helped him out?

I am going to guess that the limited edition vehicles will not be destroyed. You will always have them. Will save the CS headache from people complaining. Well also lets face the facts. SWG is not doing all that well on customer base right now. They need everything they can to draw and keep them. Why blow up something that you got for buy a speacial edition?


On the other topic I do think that it is the area attacks. I have also noticed that when targeting people on bikes I have trouble targeting the person I normally only get thier bike. Might have changed the targetability of people on vehicles to targeting the vehicle.

I have lost 2 flash speeders in 2 days with this. First one was when sith atacked it through the village walls. Second was a levisquall on rori decided to much on it. After that though i have had a hard time buy ing another flash speeder. I am gonna try to get another flash speeder when i get home from work hope it works.

That would also be a cool addition. Watching the mobs munch on our speeders or even us after we become deceased...

Yes but the difference in a Flash Speeder and a BARC Speeder is that you can buy another Flash Speeder deed. The BARC is a 1 time claim thing.

actually there is a BARC repair tool that can heal it from disabled condition


it can be made by master artisians

I am thinking why stop there. maybe a less of a headace instead of invulnerable led speeders make repair kits for all. it would increas the need for artisans also. What do you all think?

Wow, that's a good question. If this remained, that would really hurt the ground vehicle economy for crafters.


I have heard of a certain crafting prof (Artisan or something above that)that has a schem for Barc speeder repair tool or something like that, but haven't confirmed it yet.




I had a weird thing happen last night. I am a Padawan and I decided to move some FS skills since I unlocked more then 6 branches. I maxed out scouting and headed to the village to convert xp. I hadn't been there in months and, foolish me, I arrived in the middle of a phase IV battle. My swoop got destroyed and i pulled out a backup and headed out of Dodge. When I got back at the science Outpost I decided to store and recall my bike, just to look at the damage annimation. To my amazement, my bike was at 50%. I don't know if this is a bug or intended. It might be a bug related to the BARC code.


BTW as a level 80 padawan with justthe exploration branchof scout, I cancap 75K ofscout xp from less then one lair. The irony is that the easiest way to grind FS is as a Jedi.

Well SOE should incorporate some kind of new professionor items, like vehicle shields or vehicle repair tool at list 2 uses, if we talk about hunting in Yavin, Endor and Dathomir is dangerous up there more than before you don't know when a strong npc respawn in top of you or a few meters away from you, well if you get kill that will be fastest way to get to the startport LOL.

Same here. I carry a create of swoops. Strange. My first swoop I had for a year before it was destroyed (and it was done on purpose). Now I'm going through swoops daily.

Isaw a disabled Flash Speeder when I was pulling in and couldn't decide on whether ir not I should feel bad or laugh. So LOL!!!!!
