I've banked my xp, except the ones I used on the melee speed branch of combat prowess.
Why? Becuase imho it's the only one you can really feel of the template I've chosen. I can't feel melee defence, I can't feel survival, but damn my guy can swing a power hammer much faster than he used to
Generally, most of the Force Sensitive skills won't benefit you much if you look at the bigger picture, so I decided to bank my xp and train all of it at once, when I unlock my last branch.

well im 4444 combat prowess, and i still need 2 more unlocks in the village, phase 3 and 4 to do ER 4400, so i banked up the fs ready for it, i got something like 1.8mill saved up so far, think i need to get it to 2.4mill, as its 1.2mill roughly for a branch. Then when the phase 3 and 4 come round in 7wks ish, i can just learn the boxes
, and it means i can have a break, and enjoy sometime else in the game while i wait, i know its a pain waiting but it does some good.

Very good insight here...

if i were to do it all over again (and i wouldn't, believe me) i'd just train in the boxes that i really wanted and I'd bank the rest. So that would be Melee Speed (all 4), Melee Defense (4), Vehicular Control (4), and Survival (3). Those are useful enough to me and with my current template I'd have enough points to spare. The other 9 boxes, I'd just bank and unlock all together.
I think I'll be following this method from now on. I think I'll get Reflexes4400 (cause i need the defenses as a transdoshan and as a rifleman) and bank the rest. I also figure with reflexes4400, I can afford to tank my 2 fencer skills (1010). After doing this, it's pointless for me to hold onto Brawler and Novie Fencer so that frees up a ton of extra SP I can throw into profs that will help my FS grind go easier (ie. Combat Med and Doc skills).

My toon is 5 months old. So far am combat 0 0 4 4, reflexes 0 4 0 4. I've 'banked' 2.5 million FS in the reflexes tree so when Phases II and III roll around again I will be able to get ranged defense and vehicle control. My suggestion is to unlock and train as you go and then bank the xp you need so when the phases come around for the unlocks you want your all set. My 'grind' is done, although it was not really a grind and quite fun to 'store' the xp.

I'm getting my 6 skills up to the third box each, then I will bank enough FS XP to shoot them all up to 4 at the same time.

Depends on my free skillpoints at the time. If i have free ones, i train. If i don't and need to change my template, I bank so i can keep my old template as long as possible.

As a TKM/Master Doc, I have 18 SP not devoted to these 2 professions. I'm filling FS boxes as I go, up to 18 of them, training in the ones that will help me with the grind. I'll bank the xp for thelast 6 boxes so I can keep these 2 profs as long as possible -- TKM for the grinding efficiency, and MD because I have quite a few crates of buffpacks that are med use 92 and can only be used by a Master Doc. I'm not going to fill any of Melee Speed until I have all the xp banked, as I'm speed cappedand this branch won't help me right now.

Watch the damage numbers after you pick up melee accuracy. That power hammer is one of the most innacurate melee weapons in the game. You can feel that too as you watch the mobs fall faster and faster due to more hits connecting.

In reply to the original post, I only have 2 branches unlocked at this point, both of which are filled. At this point i'm just banking so I can fill up as I unlock. At the pace i've been going I should be done with the grinding before the next phase shift, if not soon after. I won't be able to unlock my 6th branch until phase 1 rolls around again on Eclipse (it's currently in phase 1).

I was grinding as a TKM/MSword with the rest in medic. I traind as I went except when I was waiting for the next phase. I didnt realy mind giveing up a couple boxes of medic it didnt effect my healing ability much anyway.

The FS skill boxes are a joke and if you go MLS which is a given at this point in time they will be nulled anyway, the smart and educated decision (unless you have skill points left over) would be to bank them.
Also this is only applicable toward combat prowess

Thanks for the input folks, I have achieved my desired template (for the moment) and will now go ahead and bank everything. It is kinda difficult and oh so tempting to make that green bar go away but in the long run (both for grinding and jedi sake) it's more efficient to just bank it all. I'd actually give up my FS boxes for the SP if I could retain the fs xp but because I cannot I'll have to stick with em and bank like crazy. Thanks again, folks!
