well any of the sabers in eps 4-6 could be weilded 1 handed if luke vader or ben chose to do so the thing is you have far less grip and strength swinging one of those 1 handed. think of it like swingin a baseball bat... you can smack somethign much harder with a 2 handed grip than swinging it 1 handed and the impact is far more likely to jar the bat out of your grip 1 handed. while lightsabers cut through almost anything with little to no resistance they were wackin at eachothers sabers wich would have a similar effect to you and someone else sparing with swords stick or whatever IRL. you get more power with 2 handed so you hold it 2 handed.

To Upgrade something implies that you are adding too, enhancing, and fixing the thing that you are upgrading. The CU does not do this, it is not adding too, enhancing, or fixing the combat system that is in place, it is replacing the innovative SWG system with the generic one used by its competitors. Be honest and stop calling it the CU, Call it the CR (combat replacement) instead

Duel Lightsaber Combatis it's own lightsaber form. Thats right, it's one of the seven forms of Lightsaber Combat that a Jedi may learn. Ican't quite remember which form but it might have been 4 or 5. Asajj Ventress, a Dark Jedi in the time of the Clone Wars, had duel lightsabers and practiced it's form. I believe that they should be put in the game because i always use duel lightsabers whenever I play as a Jedi (Kotor 2, Jedi Academy etc.).

Thats my 2 cents.

ive thought about duel weilding and think it would be a great thing to have in the game.

my idea is that there would be a whole seperate profession to master: offhand pistols, offhand fancer, offhand lightsaber, etc. this way you would have to sacrifice something to be proficient with it.

also the offhand profession would have its own accuracy which could only be 75% as good as your main hand. and you could only use offhand specials while dual weilding which wouldnt be ass good utility wise (states and such) but would be good damage wise.

imo it would be balanced so that duel weilding would be significantly stronger against low defense and significantly weeker against high defense.

hate the nge... but i lurk. one day maybe things will be fun again. until then soe/la dont get none of my moneys.

Despite what people think, duel wielding swords is a defensive style. I don't care if it happened for a brief second in one movie. Darth Maul was the only one with his type of saber! Yet, everyone has those and are throwing them around. Why does having 1, 2, or a double-bladed saber make so much difference, just make them all the same stats and give us the customization of wielding the sabers differently. Besides, there are duel wielders in EP III. General whatever, the jedi killer is one I believe.

Give us triple-wield like Greivous

Actually I think the reason the sabers in Episode 4-6 were mostly wielded two-handed was because originally Lucas intended for them to be relatively heavy devices which required a lot of strength to use and control. The only person who wielded a saber one-handed throughout the original trilogy was Darth Vader, and that I believe was to show how strong he really is.
It's worth noting, however, that I don't remember what my source for this information is, so I could easily be wrong.

I don't think it was to show his true strength.. considering that he was "More machine than man".. you'd think he'd be able to lift a metal cylander with crystals, components, and a power-pack in it easily..

The only place it was seen is Kotor (and that one section with Anakin in episode 2, but that was a very rare incident, and lead to his hand getting cut off).

Asajj Ventress uses 2 lightsabers. The villain from the clone wars series.

When was Luke in the Clone Wars? Leia eventually becomes a jedi and bears 2 jedi children, but was she a jedi (of course, but an untrained one)in ep 4 to 6? We gonna rewrite the game for her? Or Luke? Or someone wanting to make the game something it's not?

yea i remember reading that a long time ago about the graphics engine not being able to handle 2 ls and as for the 2h 1h ls thing. on the special editon dvd for ep 4-6 there's an interview with George about the ls. It's supposed to be so powerful that you need 2 hands to hold it.

About the whole thing why all the LS in EP. 4-6 are 2h is because of the swordfighting style they were using. In 4-6 Lucas based the fighting on kendo(probably a misspell so sry ) since it was only 1 on 1 fighting but in the prequels the jedi were in large groups fighting masses of enemies on all side so Lucas decided to specialize the fighting styles of the jedi to resemble there personalities (anakin is more aggressive so more agressive style etc.) and to make them more versitile in large combat.
