>As for apprentice xp, I guarentee you, if you think standing outside a starport and spamming your head off is going to get you some xp, it isn't.
There is no other way to alert players to the fact you are offering to teach - ESPECIALLy considering that everyone else is doing this. You have to compete, thats the problem. Its a laudable approach, but it doesnt work in practise.
>In fact, the game is designed this way to prevent grinders from being grinders, because trust me, it is not fun.
It isnt working then considering that people are grinding. a lot.
>Go find a group and hunt / travel with them / make then things and ask if anyone needs to be trained.
asking if people need to be trained is just what you complained about doing. standing outside starports (ie wher epeople congregate) to advertise your teaching is doing just that. you have to.
i also played an artisan to not go hunting because i wanted to play a game that was different from the usual mmorpg blah.
once again the artisan cant make much thats of any use to a hunting party (or indeed anyone - ive tried, no one seems to want my gun muzzles or rifles). they dont want this stuff because a) they alreaedy have it b) they can get better or c) there are too many people already that they know to make them the stuff.
>OR join a PA and get it there, but for heaven's sake, IF your only goal is to grind through to Master to either have a small chance of opening youir FS slot, or worse, try to make a zillion credits by hitting Master, you might as well forget about now.
what is a PA? why on earth do people insist on speaking in riddles?
My goal is to get to a level where i can actually do something useful. i dont care a whit about being a jedi (unlike everyone else), although wanting to be FS is perfectly acceptable. Opening Master (and beyond) allows you to get to the good stuff (building speeders is far more useful than building fireworksor dice!)
