Thread: I dea for new FS requierments
Again, what does it matter? It's my game, my $15 and what I choose to do only affects me. I may be a noob, but I am a CL80 double elite melee profession. I don't go around bothering people in game with questions and asking them to help me complete missions. I like to do missions alone unless hunting with a group. It just amazes me that so many "veterans" are getting upset by new players getting force sensitive and trying to get Jedi. Why do you care? You aren't paying for them to play, are you?
I am mostly a casual player (four to five hours a week) and will continue to work my way to Jedi; no matter how long it takes. Will I ask questions? Sure, I don't know everything about SWG. Did you when you started? It's not a big deal, so don't make a big deal about it.

I suppose that, since I started in February of this year, and don't even have my Vet Yachte, I'm a noob as well. So, you guys will probably be suprised to hear me agree with the OP.
Yes, getting FS IS too easy. I agree with every single poin the OP made. 6 Months is too long, but three is passable and acceptible. I understand each and every suggestion the OP made.
No, I don't like the new XP conversion, any more than you old-timers liked the changes in getting FS and loss of the Holo-grind, but not for the same reason. Grinding is boring, and is not content. Making the grind longer accomplishes nothing constructive. It makes the time we spend getting FS abd Jedi boring, but not longer. You can still fill the trees even with the new conversion, but you can't experience any mor of the game if you want to finish and unlock when you finish the village. There is NO WAY that you'll ever convince other players that they could just unlock the 6 required branches, then grind at their leasure ( which, BTW, is what I'm doing). They are fixated on getting it as fast as they can. The length of time is not now, nor has it ever been my issue, but the fact that the "Noobs" don't have a clue how to play the game. WHEN they get Jedi Padawan, finally, they are not going to enjoy it. They are in for a rude awakening when the BH's start showing up and tapping them on the shoulder. They will whine, they will cry. Yes, I'm FS, and I did it rather quickly, but in the last almost six months that I've been playing, I've taken the time to find out as much as I could BEFORE I got FS. Lots I don't know yet, but I've learned alot too. And, I played the game a bit. I crafted some ( not my thing), hunted some ( kinda like this), and have done some Quests and Missions. I knew that I wanted to go FS and Jedi, but I wasn't in a hurry. I still am not. When I decided to go FS, I knew what to do, and just did it. I havent mastered BH yet, but I'm almost there (CL 79).
The important thing to realize is that the newer, unprepared Padawans and Jedi are gonna weed themselves out. I've seen the hunt. I've seen it several times, and I've seen good and bad sports on both sides. I will be a good sport. At least, I'll try. But I know whats comming, and these people don't have a clue. But they will.
When the FRS is finally turned back on, if there is ANY PVP in it, you won't be sing all the Jedi you now see. The Noobs will be running for the hills and either playing their Alts, or deleting their toons and starting new ones. Let them get it as easy and as fast as they want. When the FRS comes back, they'll be the first to jump ship.
Besides, I like having them around ! They'll be easy targets for people like me that DO know whats comming down the road (BH's, etc.) and since I'm gonna be practicing, I'm gonna be ready. And I'll need targets to head up the Jedi Hierachy. I surely hope it's at least partly based on PVP. Hell, I hope its with the Old Saber TEF!!
So just stop complaining about them for right now and enjoy the show, it'll be a hoot!!
i agree with you, they go straight to FS and grind all the time and miss out on so much. they are missing so much of the game and remain noobs from not learning anything.
again, there is more than jedi
