I don't uderstand the big deal about new players getting force sensitive. We all pay $15 a month to play SWG. Who cares what newbie gets force sensitive faster than someone who had to hologrind? No one account is more important than another. Time in this game doesn't give anyone the right to say how others should be able to progress in this game. I've been on for less that two months and have a CL80 toon who is force sensitive. I'll be starting the village after I finish a couple of missions I've been wanting to solo. Complaining about other people's progression towards Jedi is pointless. It won't change the fact that some (not all) new players want a Jedi toon. For some, it's the reason they play a Star Wars game. It is for me.

This game is like a pencil in a pencil sharpner...the tip represents how good the devs think the game is the rest of the pencil represents the players...every time the devs "think" they make it better, there for "sharpining" the pencil, the pencil gets shorter.

I dont believe the dark side derived from the jedi like many believe, i believe that jedi were born from the dark side. Now see there had to be one force weilder who learned how to harness the force so he trained others, now think if u were the only person in the galaxie that had the power to destroy a whole fricken army by your self would u be good? I would try and take over the galaxie ya no and i believe many of you would too.

Think about it...

who care if they ask stupid questions? you were a noob at one time also.

and on another note, who cares how many poi's you have to visit to get glowy? there are pre-publish 9 jedi walking around who unlocked after mastering like 7 professions that have a total of15 badges. just because you have seen an ancient krayt skeleton doesn't mean that you a more experienced player.

Its not that they shouldnt go for it. If it is what they want to do then go for it, its their $15. Many of us "old-timers" of the game have done almost everything in the game there was to do then went down the Jedi path. Many now that have started now have not done 1/10 of the things you can do in this game except what is required for Glowy. To Many want Jedi to be easier to get, take out the grind.. That is what annoying and pissing people off. Jedi is a option not a requirement. If it is what you want to do, accept the rules set forth and do it. Before the CU there were little to no cries about this, only to change the nade grinders ways. Now since the CU and influx of new people, thats all you see on these boards now. It's either "the grind is too long make it quests", or "My idea of a SF process". The Grind is way easier now than Pre Cu. I am running a second char through and am going at a hell of a lot faster pace than before. Even with this Combat exp conversion change. Giving yourself 25 weeks is a good thing. you are getting the trees you want rather than jumping the bandwagon and getting the quickest ones.

Personally I am tired of those posts.I started during holo grinding, left and came back to the village. I was on these boards when I went through the village (25 weeks total)got the help I needed and nowpop in to help out others from time to time. As of late I have tried to avoid these boards since they've turned into the constant whine posts. More so these new FS people then come to the Jedi forums and cry the Jedi grind is too long..... See where I am going with this..

Ask these new people if they have seen the DWB or the been on any Corvette missions or have been actively PVPing. Ask them what a TEF is. I could go on forever on these. Once you get Jedi ifyou are not ready for PVP you will get a BIG wake up call and sit negative in the hole from a BH death. These are then those that turn and cry to remove neg exp from Jedi death by a BH because it is not fun. I kd'd one that just sat there and cried exploit because he couldnt stand up. I asked him if he used the KD Recovery button and he asked me what that was???? These turn into the people who cry nerf this, nerf that because someone else knows their template better than they do. Scroll back to forum postings in like december and see what you find. Nothing like you see now.

You go and master 7 random profession without using any macros and come back and tell us how long it took you. And not 7 professions you want to do. Pick 3 combat(Ranger, Squad Leader, Fencer) 3 crafting (Chef, Master bioengineer, Doctor)and a seventh, politician(that was mine) tell us how long it took you. then your argument holds water.

i have no idea whatyour point is. the only reason i was posting is because the guy who started this thread (who registered a few weeks ago) keeps flaming the village and talking about hologrinding. also the other guy is complaining about noobs asking stupid questions in the village. why not just help them instead of flaming them?

. . . FYI, i have mastered way more than 7 professions over several chars. and oh yes, i did the hologrind and mastered about 20 professions in all, most of whichi had no desire to grind.

on another note, are you implying that hologrinders didn't use macros? because that is laughable.

LOL No im not implying hologrinders did not use macros, many did i know that for a fact. Many on the other hand did not and sat ATK every step of the way. Many used third party programs I will not mention here. Im sure you know of which ones I am referring to though. I mistook your postas another person complaining about the current village system. Chalk it up to irritation and no coffee yet this morning.

I have helped a hell of a lot of people in this forum and will continue to do so. I, like you, just get tired of people flaming the village and its current process. I enjoy helping and answering questions that are reasonable. Just get tired of all the crying going on as of late.

if they unlocked pre pub 9 they would get a new character that is a jedi w/ no badges

i think they should limit noobs, and here is why:

jedi is not the game. there is much more, and jedi is just a choice

having the noobs wait, it will make them more knowledgable and also higher CL if they are going down the fighting road.

makes jedi more of an accomplishment, and jedi are stronger and have experienced the game. they do not get FS within week 1 of getting in the game, and get jedi within the next 20 weeks. they miss out on SO MUCH of the game, and i think that ruins it for them, because all the noobs know of SWG is the grind.

there is so much more than the grind

No more NOOBS. I'm a jedi and am sick of people asking me idiotic questions about jedi/fs.

Everyone was a noob, once. When you started, did you ask questions because you didn't know something and thought that someone else might know? I chose to read these forums and stickies before I started. Some people either don't bother to do research or don't care to do research. I may not have been in game long, but where does it read in the instructions for SWG, that new players need to have this, that and the approval of veteran players before they embark on the road to being a Jedi?

If I'm not mistaken we pay our $15 a month the same as everyone else. That $15 entitles us to embark on whatever profession path we so choose. If someone wants to skip the oh so many other things to do in SWG and concentrate on becoming a Jedi, it's their decision. If they cry about being hunted an killed by bounty hunters because they aren't skilled in the game, that's the price they pay for their chosen path.

cause there is more in the game to jedi, and having the requirements higher lets the nubs like you that go straight for FS and dont enjoy the game see some if it
