How is that any different from the mindless grinding of today?

Please... enough rants on how jedi should be easier to get, no dev will ever listen to you. Accept the fact that you have to do alot to get jedi and move on... take a deep breath... get yourself a cookie and some milk... sit down at your computer and be a nice grinder like the rest of us.

The difference is that you don't HAVE to mindlessly grind unless you choose to. You can do quests, play normally and build a character up that doesn't have to change every day or you can constantly grind xp if you prefer. Under the hologrind people were armorsmiths on tuesday and swordsman on friday. You couldn't get a PvP group togetherbecauseyour most elite fighters of yesterday were suddenly crafters and you couldn't get a decent set or armor because the best armorsmith had become a dancer. My friends list was always showing people online, but whenever I sent a tell I usually got an afk response because they were macro grinding entertainer or crafter professions. It was utter chaos.

I am not saying Jedi should be easier or harder...that isn't the point of this post. I am just saying the hologrind method was a TERRIBLE system because of the effect it had on the day to day game. While I think the village does have some lame aspects it does allow people to become a profession and stick with that profession until they unlock.

1. you cant afk grind crafting professions

2. you never had to grind holo professions unless you chose to, like you said about now

The only thing that hologrind did for swg was keep the population of jedi down, that's it other than that it sucked so holo grind is not the way to go, also all you people do is cry about jedi being all grinding, but do you see any other class that you have to do anything else other than grinding, the only thing i can say is Soe needs to stop messing with the game for the longest time the game was all about soloing if you solo you get better exp you have insane buffs all that crap but then there was a lot of flaws so they said hey you know what this should be a grouping game so they put in levels which and encoraged grouping by giveing extra exp and now there saying we want you to group BUT.... you will get punished for doing so, so in the end what needs to be done is Soe need to make up there mind if they want us to group or not.
