Thread: We demand a Combat XP CAP increase.

I hate to be a jerk, but this is a dumb post, and here is why:


The most possible is a tripple elite template, Master TK, Master Fencer, and Master Swordsman, that is the only possible combination of a tripple-elite i believe post CU.


Granted you get 1.2m exp each, thats 120k combat.


Basically you would have 360k Combat Exp, lose 60k from cap, and you lose a whopping 2000 FS exp. They all convert the same. Why waste time capping combat exp when you can get weapons exp 10x faster and convert it to the same rate? =P

Well, before calling people dumb (I'm always amazed how people are fast to insult the others in these boards. Education or maturity ?), I suggest you learn how this game works.


You don't need to reach mastery box to be able to cap your melee weapon xps to 1.2 millions.


The following template Master TK/Master Fencer/Swordsman 0 4 0 0/Pikeman 0 4 0 0, for instance, will allow you to cap unarmed, 1H, 2H, and polearm XPS to 1.2 each. All you need is to have a tree filled in the two later melee professions. Maybe it's a bug, but it works. Perhaps this will tellthe devs what to nerf next but I doubt they read all the posts.


So ... who is dumb now mister Hatai ?

You know some ppl don't have triple elite melee classes, or ranged classes. And you know your group DOES need a doc.

Glad that seems to work for you guys, but for me. Blah they screwed the pooch on us normal single combat prof casual players.

I am really sad about what they did to the healer XPs. When you see how bad they are needed for the fastest grind teams this is really a shame.


I used to be a master medic/doc/cm with FS heal tree. I did 3 senses trees before they nerfed medic XPs.


Irespeced to a more combat-oriented XP grind template (like the one above with only 3 melee professions though, being a medic for patch heals) and was affected in the end (last tree only fortunately) of my grind by the combat XP nerf. I really saw the difference, as I used to toss grenades on the lairs when all mobs were cleared, to get the 7-8K combat xp per lair.

I just demand them not to touch anything else. Just walk away, leave the gas truck and just walk away. We will not harm you if you just leave the gas and JUST WALK AWAY.... (I totally buchered that line) But anyway. SURE it would be nice that you restore some of this loss we suffered, but I KNOW you wont. (You = SOE) So meet us halfway, STOP TOUCHING THINGS. Fix the bugs and problems, but don't nerf exp, dont nerf skills and stop nerfing things. Just walk away.

I really don't see you point. Perhaps you didn't follow what I was talking about well. Or you're just the kind of player, like many, who takes pleasure in hijacking posts or posting sarcasms all over the boards. I can't help noting how constructive and useful your post was here. You really must be bored in the game to spent your time for nothing on these boards. As for me, I try to have the things a little better for everyone.


And, by the way, jedi XPs are really fine as they are now. I really expected much less.

follow what you are talking about? i see a player that got away easy by throwing nades (didnt throw one myself) but still wants it to be easier. Your an old timer, you should know that the conversion was NOT done because of the nads (they have been there for 10 months, if they were the problem they would have been nerfed before), it was done cause the FS XP was not converted upon the relase of CU, thus the conversion was completly out of line for post CU combat xp, people finsihed the whole grind in the 5 -FIVE- days the double xp lasted.

And if you care to look at my posts before jugding me, you will see that i am on this board to help people, im just getting so tired of all this cyring posts about the conversion.....

No news is bad news, going by SOEs track record.

I suspect that Trader/Enteratiner will end up being worse off, and they're not saying anything, as people will quit because of it.

I'm going to quit when the sub runs out, and return if the revamps are worthwhile, unless knowledge of the revamps come before subs run out, and I like it, but I'm not going into day 1 of the new month, then the revamps get announced, and my char is shafted.

And I am getting tired of people complaining about the jedi population or devs seeing jedis as a problem. And that's all these nerfs are about because SOE devs are uninventive. Being an ex EQ player I could give you tons of examples about this. What SOE does the best is picking ideas in the others MMORPG on the market and bringing them to their games.

Jedi population should not be a problem if the profession was handled correctly with two ideas in mind:


- Visibility (we are between episode 4 and 5) so we shouldn't see them roaming everywhere.

- Content (Currently there is nothing for jedis to truly immerse in the SW universe)


The way it was developed is quite astounding to say the least. For instance I was amazed to see there were no distinctions between dark and light jedis other than being imperial or rebel (faction). When you see that a light jedi can use a force lightning which is a corrupted use of the force it is revolting.


The problem is that SOE had to place jedi in the game in haste even though they didn't want it in the beginning. But they don't own the rights, only the franchise and are a bit tied on this. We all know how Lucas' company is protective and aggressive on the market. I saw them destroy a promising CCGto give the rights to Wizards of the Coast because $ > content.


I feel a jedi revamp should be in order. Nerfing leads to nowhere. And when you nerf over and over again, it proves one thing: you don't control your game anymore.


Next expansion should be one for jedis, with a lot of content and a complete power revamp with a clear distinction between the dark path and the light path.


jedi is a spirit, it's not about grinding. It should be a starting profession with strict rules to enforcetough rules of conduct that's all.

Didn't read the whole post, but yeah I kinda thought the same thing when I read about this conversion rate changing. It only makes sense that if you are going to make conversion rate the same you also make the cap the same. It really shouldn't be a big deal to raise the cap since you still don't make combat xp as fast as weapons xp.
