Thread: We demand a Combat XP CAP increase.

AsCombat XPs are now converted just as any weapon XP we (FS grinder) want the CAP increased to 1.2 millions XPs just like Elite Weapon XPs are.

Even if I have now completed my FS grind, I can't help thinking about my fellow players in the game, and it would be nice for them.

whats the point? it will get you an extra 10k per trip and thats if you even bother capping it. most people dont even cap combat anymore cuz of such high caps. making it higher would just be stupid and a waste of time

My point is simple. Most of all FS grind templates now fill 3 to 4 different weapon xps before any trip to the village. The combat XPs are filledbefore you fill all these weapon XPS and this is a waste. Increasing the Combat XPs will bring every player some more valuable XPs to convert.

For example, let's say you max Unarmed combat, 1H weapon, 2H weapon, polarm weapon to 1.2 millions (yes thats possible), that would bring 480000 combat XPs, with the cap increase, and no 300000 like it is now. 480K-300K = 180K more combat XPs or 6000 FS XPS per trip. Like this it doesn't look so great.

Now let's see...

- 6 FS trees are worth 1225000 X 6 = 7350000 FS XPs or 220500000 regular weapon XPS.

In the exemple above, without the combat XP cap increase, it would require 220500000/(300000+4800000) = 43.3or 44trips to the village.

With the Combat Xps cap increase, it would require 22050000/(480000+4800000) = 41.7 or 42 trips to the village.

You save 2 trips to the village. So ... if, like I suspect you will reply to me, 2 less trips are nothing, why just can't the devs give them to us

All these calculations are fora template using only regular weapons. But if you combine grenade tossing with your regular grinding (that's not an exploit as the game still allows us to do it), Combat XPs will come much faster andthus will reduce a bit more the trips to the village.

Most of the time, players go the village without having maxed all their weapon combat xps although the combat xps are: this is a waste of XPS and increasing the cap would prevent it.

Even if it not to the devs advantage, it is to the players advantage and it would be fair after the radical conversion rate change on last publish.

"We" dont demand anything .. The devs gave us a challenge .. and it was either THIS or they split xp to all 8 group members ( yes thats 7000 xp split 8 ways ). So thanks for your concern but I'll take the recent changes and more challenging goal over a group xp nerf which HARMS group play more than it HURTS jedi wanna-bes.

The math stll plays out .. you can still cap 1 or 2 times a day .. and easily meet the BARE MIN 18 weeks. The only difference is now you nade grinders have a backpack full of alot of useless C12 nades.

Being victim of a bug, and losing 5 rows of FS xp ( Had it saved, ready to use ) I am now on my last box of my 11th row ( and finally my last.. ) and welcome these changes with open arms and a nod, realizing the Devs are finally understanding why these new jedi are not gettin the respect they deserve for putting the effort into becoming jedi. Well now it does take some effort, and maybe when people realize no matter what as the game moves on, more jedi will come, but purhapse now people wll once again respect the jedi that walk the path. Who knows..

But enough with this "we demand" BS... Just let it go! Look at this as a better outcome than what COULD have happened.. and sit down... and play the freakin game.

No Disrespect but your math is wrong. Each row of FS xp is 1,275,000 FS Xp. So thats 7,650,000. Which means its actually 229,500,000 Weapon Xp. There are 126 days in 18 weeks. And if you were to cap your main weapons xp once a day, every day, for 18 weeks, you would still need 66 days to finish your xp. That is near perfect imo. That means EXTRA work atleast AFEW days during your Village Grind. Whats this you ask? You ask we must actually EARN jedi? Hmmm interesting idea!

Refrain from complaint, and understand we are finally prevented with something we must trryyyy to get, and isnt just handed to us like so many CareBears of SWG prefer.

Increasing cap for combat xp makes no sense.

You would cap all your weapons FAR before even going 1/2 cap with combat.

And i doupt anyone is stupid enough to stay and keep grinding for combat xp only.

Pardon me but among the FS grinder the "we demand" >> "we don"t".

>> .. The devs gave us a challenge ..

You quite amaze me when you call this a challenge. Where is it challenging to kill 1260 more bols than before to be a jedi ? Attacking anImperial Corvette with your X-Wing is challenging. Capturing a CL86-90 manned rebel outpost is challenging. Where in hell is slaughtering hundreds more peacefull and outnumbered bolschallenging ? Now I am really laughing at your way to conceave a challenge. The casual gamer thanks the devs too for this challenge.

>> you nade grinders have a backpack full of alot of useless C12 nades

Oh yes, I understand perfectly that because of devs inability to solve nades grinding (which was not a problem but something the game allowed inventive player to do, so stop blaming the players here), they punished a majority of players who were not doing this. Now this is truly fair

>> either THIS or they split xp to all 8 group members ( yes thats 7000 xp split 8 ways ).

I'd rather say that's either a few accounts cancelled for good or tens of them.

I utterly disagree with you, Hazz, because once again because of the inability of the devs to solve a simple problem many players were affected.

Hehe, you got me here. These were grinded so long ago I forgot about them

But that doesn't change the whole calculation idea. These 50K more will add more trips to the village. I am really too lazy to redo all the maths again with these new parameters.

The casual gamer? .. I dont think the casual gamer figures out the MATH requried for FS xp. Sounds like a tad bit more dedication than you lead to believe. I agree they could have changed Nade xp to Heavy Weapons and solved JUST the nade exploit. But the way they made it now, it requires more killing and more effort to achive your goal!

For the love of all things SOE will you stop complaining! With the Combat xp ratio increased they have slowed the booming of jedi. Yeah, its longer, more tedious, blah blah blah!!!!! You bitching isnt going to change it. Because when it comes down to it, it stopped the half-asses exploiting their way to jedi. Yeah, those of us who got our xp legit had to put in extra hours because of the few exploiters. But tough! You dont hear the rest of us complaining about it.

You dont see the challenge? I do. Because I actually took the changes with open arms and enjoyed the group experience of chit chat and such as I grinded. Turn on your group tab, TALK to your group members, and dont count your bols into your notebook of math notes and such. Its a video game .. and if a video game GAVE us what we wanted .. we wouldnt play it. And if your still playing it, it must be doing something right.

Yeah I was using the Temp Builderoff bloodfin.org .. So my math is too wrong cuz I added the extra 50k to each row.
