Thread: Old man not showing up ??
Awesome...another impatient, foul mouth, wanna be JEDI is just what we need.
And you wonder why the community doesn’t want any more JEDI.
If waiting 3 days for the old coot will set you off..... You are in for some fun on this journey.

3 days period. If you've been glowie since last Sat he should have been by now. I don't think he will appear in a city so trying wandering around outside and don't fly around on your swoop as you may justfly away from him before you realise he is there.

NOBODY , NOBODY I KNOW SINCE THE OLD MAN CAME OUT LAST OCTOBER HAS EVER HAD TO WAIT MORE THAN 24 HOURS
Noone , including me in both times that the old man came to me on ym other account, that is right, he came to me within 5 hours of being glowy and 14 hours of getting my 6th tree completed.. just dont respond to this and do us all a favor please
Shows how much you know. Average is 24-48 hours. It's not uncommon for some to wait a week+, know several who waited over two weeks. And this is a quick way to get your forum access removed..
I went glowy 2 nights ago. The next day I started playing at the same time the previous night. For 4 hours straight I was just doingdestory missions on dant trying to grind xp cuz I am glowy and only CL59- soafter 4 hours and a lot of XP,I went to tat mos eisley, trained up some BH skills and then off to bestine to pick up another few missions because my BH XP is still now. I got a waypoint for a mark that was way up north of mos ethna almost on the edge of the map. It was late and I was just going to abort the mission and go to bed, but I figured "one last mission" anyway. I traveled over to there, found my lvl 66 mark and as soon as I was just about to attack, the old man appeared. This was a little more than 28 hours after I had the inner glow. What I was doing was /con 'ing and /examine 'ing my mark to see how to attack and then got an email alert so I was distracted for a few seconds to check on it. After I closed the email and was about to target the mark, the old man spawned and ran up and over a mountain and move toward me. Basically, I stayed our in the wild after prob 28 hours from glowy and did nothing for about2 - 4minutes and then all of a sudden the old guy shows up and runs toward me. I never expected to see the old man I just figured since I was playing for 4 hours staright I would see him tomorrow. I did not follow any guidelines to try to make him appear faster, I just "went about my business" as the original jedi revamp publish (it was 10 wasn't ) notes stated - and he appeared.
Now I am a bit concerned b/c the sith's are on the way and I am still only CL59 - I plan to continue grinding on dant to get to cl80 but I am a long way from there. Hopefully I can get into the high 60's low 70's before the sith come and that my BH 2,2,2,2, master doc can survive! the attack.

But to play the other side, the guide does state to TRY to get the old man to appear within a day, doa simple set of instructions. I didthese various times over and he never showed. Some people read that and take it as it is written in stone that if you do them, he will appear. I have to admit I did. And I also have to admit I was frustrated, honestly thinking he'll never show.
It is easy for us to get impatient about the old man. We spent a long time (well most of us) to achieve that point, and most want to start the grind asap. It seems silly to wait 3 days on this part IMHO. We get anxious and those who have been Jedi forever might forget that. I was like that, and now I personally feel silly. But it is easy to feel silly on this side of the fence.
As my final word on it, don't worry about the timing. Just play the game as you normally would and he will find you. A week ago I was in your shoes. He came to me the moment I stopped looking (on Rori, placing my harvies). Now I am staring upwards at a very high very long ladder that take a very long time to climb. As long as he and the sith visit before the 6th you won'tmiss anything (approx next phase shift). The next 5 or so months will be spent maxing out your xp and converting it.

Dont make me laugh, there is no more "playing the game" that all ended with the big CH nerf in Aug '03 .... the only reason this game even survives to this day is because of hopeless losers like myself who cling to some small idiotic, pathetic shard of a hope that the devs will wake up and actually make this game cool again....
... maybe some day I will take my own advice and realize this game is dead and not ever going to be good again.
how about grind some so you can get some fs xp when you open the village and no you arent chill. yes there is playing the game, there is grinding, kash, dungeons, pois, so that means you are wrong.

really? i took more than 24 hours, and i know a couple people also. chill you fool and do something else. whether its in game or not i dont care but STOP POSTING
