We are basically getting only group bonuses, and I hate the way it says, "You receive Rifles Experience" without posting the number.
Hopefully a new hotfix will be set up in the next 3-6 days to change this. If they do not change it, screw that, im packing my
bags for school no more SWG for me....

yesterday you would be right, but today with grouping xp, i got less than 1k for kills. i checked in the log

Yes I to got good xp last night. When I logged on today and got the latest hot fix lol right fix I was getting about 1k per kill in a group of 8 im also combat level 80.

Ok heres the information ive gathered so far
CSR-VanD: Room: Though the xp is working as intended, there are some bugs found. Devs are working to eliminate them

Unfortunately the CSR's dont feel like telling us what part of the update is bugged and what part is intended, so as i see it all we can is wait and see what they fix and what they leave, but other than that i think ThreeTimesOneMinusOne has the right idea on how thegroup xp is working out

I am just so upset, One of the main constants in this game is that we all love it so. To be immersed in the Star Wars universe is a dream since I saw the episode Iv back in the late 70's ( I was just a kid, btw). To see this type of blow to this game is so devastating to me. I dont' know,..I can't cancel yet, I have invest too much time (started at launch date) to leave for what I hope is just a misunderstanding. With all the changes , mostly bad, I have kept playing because to achieve full-temp Jedi is what we all want. But this makes it almost impossible, I realize Jedi is uber-elite and isn't supposed to be easy, but what is the use of being jedi if the population dwindles down to near nothing. My subscription is supposed to renew on the 11th of next month. If a positive change to either the xp rates or the conversion ratio doesn't take place, I may not renew. I am deeply saddened by this, I will miss all my fellow players. Please SOE, help us.

when the pub came out i was at the village at the time, logged off there, and decided id go and kill sum Sith for xp, i killed like 50 or so solo (the wave had just started, and was like only one there) now normally id get 4k per kill for around 200k overall instead i got 40k overall at 800xp per kill and this was solo, i currently havent seen a change in this, ive been to hunt CL 81 bols and pickets solo and most i get is 1200xp

official from tiggs:
xp is now divided by how many attack the creature. if it gives 6000 xp, and 2 attack it, you both get 3000 xp plus group bonuses

How can you tell you are getting full xp for the kills. Even if you go into your skills box and write down how much xp you have, make a kill and subtract the old total from the new one, you still come up with something around 800 xp when you used to get 5-6k while grouped.
That would mean it's displaying incorrectly there, the combat window and in spatial (when it does show there). Which is basically everywhere.
So how can you tell it's displaying incorrectly?
And on the flip side this is the way groups used to get xp. And not only was it split up it was split up according to damage so people with their one handed swords or cdef's would be lucky to get 100xp per kill. It was only the dense decision to give everyone in the group full xp with the new and improved CU that is causing this mess in the first place. This should have been addressed with the first hotfix if not on TC. But give them the xp and the conversion to the CU will be all that less painful must have run thru their minds.
Now this bonanza has been taken back to what it once was and the cries of the masses once again are shrill and vindictive. Not that that is anything new.

i was just online and as a jediwas getting 120xp in a full group for pikets i was getting 1000-1100xp for yesterday.People who are reporting that we are getting the xp but it is just not displaying correctly are people who were hunting 'before' this change.I am hearing from friends who are not jedi that the amount they are getting is reduced by around the same percentage.If this is not a bug i will probably have to think seriously about carrying on playing.

Ok to clear everything up now. Yesterday, after the patch we recieved in the morning, there was no actual change in the XP itself. The display when having inspiration buffs was reversed, but you were receiveing the correct amount of XP. I know, cause I was grinding Jedi XP yesterday and I watched my skill Moinitor and saw I was getting about 1k a kill.
Later that day, around 9PM EST, servers were shutdown for another patch, and a much bigger one. This seemed to be the actual Publish 22, and this has changed group XP rates to where now, XP is divided by the number of group members. For example, if you were to get 6K from something normal, and you're in a group of four people it's spilt four ways, meaning you get 1500 instead. I know, I just tried this 10 mins ago. The System messages now simply say "You earned Polearms XP" or what not, and the actual XP ammount appears over the dead enemies head for a few seconds in big purple letters similar to how combat damage does.
Any questions?

You seem to have it asI saw it. Add to this a chat comment by Tiggs that there was not supoosed to be an xp nerf yet, no note of fixing xp in the latest announced hotfix or any real official word that ti is a bug not a nerf. I can't decide if they are inept at puushing patches and informing there customers of what is supposed to be in thm or if they are cowardly nerfing xp and trying to hide behind a broken xp display smoke and mirrors show?
They nerfed combat xp conversion with no notice or reasonand only an after-the-fact addition to the patch notes. If they have, in fact, nerfed my grind to jedi again with no notice or reason, I think I am done with SWG. Either way I have lost more faith in them but I can tolerate a bug that gets fixed far more than deception, cowardiceand lack of disregard for the tim i spend playing.
If you are going to nerf someting as important as xp progression, at least own up to it and give us a little notice. nasty surpises only make it worse.
