When I get in to the office in a few hours I will check on the xp changes you're seeing. If someone can please post full details of what you are seeing exactly rather then OMG you nerfed XP!!!11 it would really help us to see what you are refering too.

Yeah. Obviously this isn't something that they had big team-meetings about.... he doesn't even know what we're talking about when we say "XP Nerf", so there's a definite chance that it's a bug. One person said that we're just getting the group bonuses, and not the original amount of XP added on. That would make sense.
Unless he doesn't see it as a nerf and sees it as an "update", which would be very, very sad.

Nope. this is their way of placating the player base until everyone calms down and they can admit that it was intended. They knew exactly what they were doing with this. They tested it in pub 21 remember?
Remember, these are the people who added a 0 to the combat XP ratio.

It seems poor Tiggs gets fed poor information from both sides if her job - BUT with no specific figures or reason for implementing these new xp rules, I would hope that even if it isn't a bug, it is something that will be given some balance over time.
Hoping that this was all a big mistake is a little optimistic in my view, although the publish was pushed through quickly, and poorly - the change seems intended.
The game had become all about Jedi vs. Bounty Hunter - I feel that they are trying to influence people back to the civilwar, which is what the galaxy, at this point in the timeline, is meant to be more involved in.

How is that so? Why would they want us to get even more XP than before when they're trying to slow down game play so people don't fly throigh everything... This is defintly not a bug...

Hmm, classic mis-direction ploy being used by the devs here?
1. Man wants candy from a baby.
2. Man takes baby's candy, balloon, bottle, and stuffed animal.
3. Baby cries.
4. Man gives back balloon, bottle, and stuffed animal.
5. Baby is happy again.
6. Man has taken candy from a baby.
Is this what is happening? Honestly, I doubt it. But it may well be the end effect.
PS - watch out for 'The Man'. Next he may want the balloon.

we are getting full xp for all kills...it is just displaying incorrectly.

Ok -they can have the balloon...
...but if they come near my stuffed animal they're gonna lose fingers!!

See! It is people like Grunzer that the devs stinking do not post squat to people.
He ( as we told She ) gets her butt out of bed ( or at lease reading the boards at home because she is not in the office at the time) and writes to us that things do not seem to be working as intended and you are BI*CHING.
Damned if you do and Damned if you do not. I am guessing this is the real reason we do not get alot of honest information postings and the CSR are very careful with dealing with the public. It is better to just shut up the to say the wrong thing and get yourself in trouble. ( for you people that work with the public, are back stabbing work enviernment, know what I am talking about.
I wish we could cultivate a move friendly enviernment with the DEVS and our Liasons. Then it would be easier to communicate our disires and likes about the game if we could just not bombard them with negitive have postings. I hope cooler minds prevail in the future.
Sorry Tiggs for the ingrates roamming the boards. I guess you could have been a policewoman or a teacher and gotten the same grief. 2 other under apprecated proffessions ( I guess there are none of those in SWG, See, the game is like Real Life, LOL)

The problem is that you have no idea what is meant when they say something is "screwed up". I have seen the devs say similar things in the past only to "fix" it by doing something completely unrelated that we didn't expect. It just seems to me that since they have already stated an intended goal of encouraging grouping that doing anything to discourage grouping is unwise. I just wish they would develop a plan, tell people what that plan is and stay on course.

No there wasa fix today. People getting 7062xp in a group yesterday AFTER the publish were technically bugged. So it was fixed today with a hotfix and now its 900 or so in a group of 8
