Wow, man do I feel lucky that I picked def. the first time. If this is the case then I really feel bad for everyone else that's having this problem. SOE def. needs to fix this!

Yes I have capped rifle speed witha AA on a belt but that meansI cant wear a PSg which can come in handy in pvp so Im a little ticked that I cant wear PSG untilk they fix it bastards..

yes this is some supreme BS!!! i sent a csr ticket in and got a "hey guy, lookon alakazam and in the forums guy, your an idiot" response and they CLOSED THE dag'gon TICKET ON ME!!! Arrggh i hate it when they do that crap. My problem is this, last time the village was in phase four, i did the ranged speed. this time i get blown off by the SAME GUY WHO ISSUES A DIF. UNLOCK. I cannot unlock melee defense because this guy tells me to get some R&R. however this captain is responsible for unlocking melee defense AS WELL as ranged speed. some people at the village who say last phase four they did the melee defense unlock (which presents NO reward btw) CAN HOWEVER take the other unlock, ranged speed from him this time. THE DEVS NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. this is why people cancel accounts and move on. please do something about this CSR if your taking the time toread this.

yeh ive heard a few people thinking of closing there accounts too
i cant do anything till this is fixed anyway so ive cancelled my subscription my account fully closes in around 3 weeks so if it is not fixed i wont be re subscribing
they get this all the time people threatining to leave but i think a 3 week setback is going to cause mass upset to alot of people
also theese sort of people are in majority there most loyal customers with a serious attitude towards grindg there perfect fs template and/or going onto jedi
melee defence is a very good tree to have on a template and im pretty sure alot of people are planning to take it.

OK, a few things:
a) Yes, I took Ranged Speed last time, and now can't take melee defence. I hope they can fix it too.
b) I filed a bug report, but obviously they know about it already
c) they also know that the ranged speed mod is broken.
d) you can't assume this - or any change in this game - is an "easy fix". MMORPG's are incredibly complex to code, and the effects of a change often impact other elements of the game in unexpected ways.
e) while there's no excuse for bad customer service, I'd probably be frustrated too if I had to answer the same question 100 times, especially if the answer is (it turns out) already posted. /shrug

I am having the same bug, but what is interesting is, i never finished the phase 4 last time but he still tells me to get some R&R. I dont have the ability to train either skill but yet he tells me thanks for the help. Now i cant get the quest for phase 4 this time and what is sad is it will be my 6th row to unlock, thanks DEVs you can kiss the snotty end of my... nevermind.

Same for me, took ranged speed first time around and can not take the mission for melee defense.

i take it if youre already capped also it will make no difference?
