i still help...reason i got FD was to drop the aggro so my group wont get screwed...been trying to warn them what i do just so they dont die...if the lairs to risky to hit i dont use nades i dont have medic but i can do good damage regardless to help when i need to

Then you'd be welcome in my group. Sorry to unload on you if you're a responsible nader.

I was just in a group this weekend with a nader, who had the audacity to sit on her bike and complain about how bored she was while we were all fighting and dying. I was very respectable and asked if she could help, what her idea was, etc... She basically said that she was pretty and popular and deserved jedi since she had been playing so long and then told me to "Go die now!". I couldn't believe the rest of the group actually stuck up for her and saying that they were earning the same xp either way. Heck, i didn't even say anything while she sat through the last few lairs, but when she complained about nothing to do... arggh. I wished the luck and left after the lair was done.

Am I wrong?!? Am I the only one frustrated by unhelpfull naders? I always try to include a newbie or two or three in my groups, it's not that i have to have an uber group everytime. It's just the attitude that i can't stand (as in the person that started this post) and until that changes my first impression of anyone with a C12 in their hand is going to be negative.

corrrection for me C22...im actually grinding commando while doing this too so ill shoot the mob i get 2x combat xp or more if i throw a nade usually anyway which makes it worth it either way to me. i like commando its pretty fun as it is and the whole more combat xp is good for my FS grind (past halfway now yay!). i still feel a bit stupid if i just sit and wait so ill either help or just shut up or something but i usually help since i need the xp for weapons. even so my group usually finds it funny when i do the whole nade thing if i die or not lol

The way I grind with nades.... you don't just spam them, so of course you don't get as much combat exp... but I just use one on a lair after all the mobs are dead. Throw one at it and there you go... an extra 7-8k combat exp. Sure you don't cap your exp, but its just a way of doing it that nobody complains hehe.

You can nade grind and still be very useful - there are many abilities that do not affect combat XP.

- Offensive combat medic skills
- Taunting/Tanking w/ improved CoB
- Armor Break (any level)
- Any state mod which does no damage (intimidate, warcry etc)
- Doc Buffs on group members

Thankfully I've finished my grind, but nade grinders who just stand and watch are the reason I had more fun in groups with a dominance oflvl 54-79 chars then all 80's.

If you throw a nade, feign death, then get up and taunt/imp cob/armor break enemies one by one I guarantee you nobody will complain about your nade grinding a bit.
