I can get about 200-300K of FS exp from grenades in about 2 hours or an hour and a half

Time doesn;t matter. You have 3 weeks per phase change. You can finish a branch easily in that time. If you want to get ahead of the game cool but either way 3 weeks per phase and with no unlocks you are looking at least 18 weeks no matter what. So do what you feel will keep your interest. The one thing i recommend though is to be at least a full branch ahead of the game so when you are done with your 6th branch you can just train it fully then and there. So like let's say Phase 1 is here and you unlock it and finish the branch in 1-2 weeks. THat last week you can keep grinding it so when the 2nd phase happens you will have that xp to use already and if you keep it up and have that branch ready to go ahead of time for your 6th then you will be done that day =)

This is the most helpful response. The fact that you have to wait three weeks per phase makes the speed of the grind pointless. Just play normally and you should be able to finish the unlocked tree by the time you unlock the next. I usually just play for one buff session for at most 4 days a week and come really close to finishing a tree in three weeks.

The biggest thing to consider is what branches you want to unlock so that you can plan a strategy on the order you will unlock so that you dont have to wait for the right phase to come by again. That in itself could cost you as much as 12 weeks of waiting.

i think that the most important thing to understand is that you cant really move on until after three weeks. Granted, you can try to get ahead and grind out that extra fs xp, but you'll get there almost just as fast seeing as how it will take 18 weeks no matter what. Casual grinding is fine. i try to get 1 buff session in a day, and skip it a ton of times, but i have no problem making the xp by the end of the three weeks. So you really can take it whatever way you want.

DonnieDarko123:

Get a line in 3 weeks easy? If you play 3 hours a day everyday than its not healthy.

I'm master tk/swordsman, cap both in 1 buff round.

thats 120+ fs exp

1225 fs exp for a branch

get that in 10 buff rounds

so takes 2 weekish for me to get a branch full doing 5-7 buff rounds a week

and yeah i play alittle to much maybe... but i don't watch TV and play this instead...

only have internet anyways (poor college student)

10 buff rounds is still 35 hours.

Sorry if it came out the wrong way, but I don't have anything against playing 3 hours a day everyday, if you can more power to you, I would too if I could. Just commenting on the fact that someone said it was easy to finish a line in 3 weeks. I was just saying that if you are like most people you only have 1 elite melee profession so it takes about 2 and 1/2 hours to get 60k force xp. So thats 50+ hours in three weeks, most people cannot play 3 hours a day everyday.

So I'd say for the majority it is not easy to complete a fs branch in 3 weeks and that it would take a lot of mind numbing time/effort to do so.

Now the quickest way to do so is to go master commando and make 105k fs xp every 45 minutes, that would be the best route to go for the more casual gamer. But don't think the grind gets any better after that, at jedi padawanit takes about 20 hours game time to get from novice lightsaber to your 1st box. And you better hope you stay off the bh terminals and its a lot harder to keep your visibilty down than you think.

i think the best option would be to test yourself. go and get buffed. choose one line of grinding, say janta shaman lairs, and do nothing but that for one hour. then try something different. do that for one hour. keep track of how much xp you get, how much money you get, the speed, and the difficulty. this will give you a good baseline for deciding how to spend your time grinding. we already know that 7 million xp is needed, and the phases last 3 weeks. now, how are you going to get there with the best ease and profit for yourself?

and i dont think this is as unhealthy as television. consider the fact that you are setting goals for yourself, learning problem solving techniques, interacting with others, negotiating maybe. right there you are 4 up on tv., and you are getting something out of it.

just dont use it in an interview.

to be honest time really doesnt matter cause we are locked into the system were we need to play a waiting game. I dont see how its not posable to max 1 full tree in the FS branch in a 24 hr time frame. weather you do it as 2 12s 3 4s whatever. i also may have an advantage being master carb Bh 0444 pistol 0040 i can max pistol and carb and heavey weaopn xp to 900k each b4 i need to turn in xp and another 300k combat xp.

So the only thing stoping me from being in the jedi ranks already is the 3 week phase timer. i have been sitting on 2.5 mil force xp for a month now. cause i used my 2 unlocks on melee and ranged def forgot what phase i was in and did the whip quest for the melee def branch. I then unlocked the vechical control branch thats now full and i just got the phase 4 combat mission now full aswell. So i have 4 full trees and i need to wait 6 weeks to get my next 2 trees not cause i lack the FS xp but because I cant use the 2.5 mil FS xp i have stocked up cause i haven,t unlocked the trees yet. Whats even worse is 1.5 mil of that xp is in reflex and my last 2 branches i want filled and want for my jedi are combat.

Personal best, but booooring way to grind (and kinda expensive too):

Commando 4000, Thermal Detonators, comp and buffs.

Get solo group and head to Dantooine.

Select 2 Huurton Stalker lairs close to each other.

Go to #1 and kill pre-spawned + 1st spawn by 'nading the lair.

Damage the lair down to 50% (initiate 2nd spawn).

Leave lair #1 and go to #2 when the 2nd spawn cycle starts (eg. not killing any)

At #2, kill pre-spawned + 1st spawn... (#1 repeated)

When the 2nd spawn has been activated, leave and go back to lair #1.

Lair #1 has fully respawned with a pre-spawn and 1st spawn when damaged + 2nd spawn at 50%.

(lair takes double damage this time around)

Kill everything at #1.

Go to #2 and repeat.

2 missions done, about 30-40 minutes passed and 200k+ combat xp "earned".

Repeating this pattern nets a combat xp cap (300k) within 1 hour easily => 100k FS combat or reflex xp when converted.

But it's a really boring grind, so I usually only do this once before I start doing something else...

Took me 12 weeks playing 6hrs a day (more at weekends) to grind all the fs xp i need from having no free unlocks. Some stats i've calculated after using the grenade method.

All Approx. but give u some idea:

Used 180 crates of C22 grenades (novice commando)
Destroyed 6 fullsets of Comp armour (blast 60-70%)
spent 13.2 Million on grenades/armour/tickets/etc...
1.5hrs from every 6hrs per day sorting BF/buying tickets/shuttling/village/etc...
1 buff session results in 900 - 1000 BF (15-20 mins to zero it)

i'm glad it over!
