Hmm no saying that your not correct.. Just pondering something.. You said you grinded out 10 million FS points in 30 days.. and its true for 6 branches you only need 7.5 million..

But I beleive you can only bank 5.1 million FS. So how could you have done 10 million? Also the phases will still take you 18 weeks..and you would have needed at least 1 or I cant remember maybe 2 trees open to grind those out to bank the 5.1 million for next few phases and then train them...

AGAIN IM NOT SAYING HES WRONG I'm pondering I cant remember exactly what the bank is but I beleive it was 5.1 million FS and if so then this couldnt be correct... not a flame just wodnering the math...

Nuff Said........................

the cap is only for 1 type of FS xp. so you can bank 5.x mil of FS combat, 5.x mil of FS senses, etc.

i like the sounds of what artimties said. having to wait 365 days to unlock being able to get glowing. i mean it'd make me have to wait another 20ish days or so. but whatevs. it'd keep jedi count down.

Sorry I haven't posted replies. I went to bed after the second post. As far as the no life comment, thats about dead on. But only for the time I needed to grind the EXP. I actually have a very good social/outside life and a grilfriend ( I know right, go figure). She wasn't too happy about the last month to say the least. Now on to the point I wanted to make. The reason I did it so fast was to get it out of the way. I really wanted to be a Jedi, so I knew that it would preoccupy my game thoughts if I didn't get it out of the way. I figured that I could get it done in 2 months (did it in 1 month because of the DBL experience and the insane amount of time I've been playing since DBL exp hit. Plus with double turn in its 4x faster than it would normally have been. All of my FS EXP came from grinding monday -thursday of this week). But now I really can start enjoying my stay in the GFFA. I have nothing to do but to interact with my guild, view the scenery, do quests, and wait. I have about 4 months before I have to do ANY sort of grind at all. I don't imagine under normal EXP circumstances that many characters could filltheir templates to lvl 80 in order to do stuff with their guild in much less than a month. I just compacted the FS grind into around the time. But just think of how much I can now experience without any worry of needing to grind template/FS. Not to mention the necessary requirements for Glowie I have already experienced (corvette, themeparks, warren). I also did guild events every saturday with my guild.

Short and sweet of it is that now I have nothing to do but enjoy what the game has to offer. I'm done with grinding for 4 months. I also get back my normal social life, which my girlfriend will be happy about. The way I see it, life is gonna be good. Go summer break!

Just remembered the guy that posted asking about if it could be done in 2hrs a day ( I assume you mean in the time period I did it in). The answer is no. But I highly doubt you want to put in the 8hrs a day I did to do it. Plus, once DBL exp is over, its not gonna happen this fast.

I remember going over to my good friend's house a few years back. He is an avid EQ guy, pretty much as high as you can get (doing AA's and crap). Well, they started a new server, so everyone could go start over as a noob again. People could go have fun again, do stuff they missed, etc. So he creates a new pali toon not more than 3-4 days after the new server was up. We're standing in Free Port (amongst all the other pali newbies), and a level 65 comes gallpoing through on a horse. He just looked at the screen, and shook his head. Someone had already ground out a high level character (with a horse, this is right after they came out) by endless play + rotating shifts with friends.

The point was missed that everyone should start over and see where it takes them, rather than just power leveling their way to the top of the food chain 2 days into it (which isn't exactly easy in EQ).

I've been playing galaxies since the day it launched (when no one could get the registration to work LOL). There is still stuff in the game that I haven't done, and I enjoy it for that. I am grinding a bit these few days since it's doublexp week, but I don't try and rush my character to uber levels overnight. I was down right proud of myself for reaching TKM slowly LOL.

Do what you want in the game, but having it all done within a few months seems kinda pointless to me. It's like drinking a fine scotch quickly just to get a buzz...

IMO they should drop the "grinding" out of the fs grind... make your jedi toon a 1 or 2 year vet reward.

some will stay, enjoy all the game has for an offer, then get their jedi...

those that want instant jedi will go play kotor.

Just for clarification. Is the no comment that its obvious it could be done or that you're upset that it was possible to be done that fast? (Ie. you think SOE made it too easy)

the "no comment" is that none of them wanted to be the first to whine about how it just isn't fair that you didn't have to walk to all waypoints thru a blinding blizzard, barefooted, uphill both ways like they had to back in the dino-days.

I've also been playing for two years and have explored the universe, done quests, and had a lot of fun over the time. I hope you can find some time to enjoy the game.

I agree that becoming jedi has become much easier and I really like the idea of it being a vet reward.

I could be wrong here, please no flames, but I imagine you were probably power levelled to get so much so fast. The CU has made it way to easy to power level people, IMO. Most other games won't allow a low level to get experience (or minimal experience) with people too high above them. I have noticed that lately if you go to MO or the typical experience places, about half of the people standing around LFG are very low level. I'm all for helping people but I think the ease of power levelling in the game has made quite a few clueless profession masters. I'm not sure what would be a good resolution in a system where you can have dual elite masters that are CL 1, but would love to see some changes.
