I wasnt glowy and I didnt get any free unlocks. Now I have 5 branches filled and saved up for another 2 (since i need to change one branch). The only way to make this grind work is with grenades. So next phase I get jedi, hope its all its cracked up to be!
By the way i usually grind about 2h every week day since weekends are too laggy.

No free unlocks and never used grenades. Been Master Pikeman the whole time with a change of templates here and there which i basically added fencer at one point for defense and an extra set of exp to work with, then later to TKM which i am currently Master Pike/TKM. Well my FS grind ends tonight, as im now 120k reflex away from finishing it! I did alot of my time at the Corsair POI, very good for exp about 5k each, it spawns every hour, Great loot (CAs and AAs) got a +5 WS Exp CA there which is going for my alt as a master WS 
. So yeah its a tough grind just to unlock all trees but was fun most of the time, just depends what you do to unlcok. I personally dont like the idea of grenades getting double the fs exp as a person with 2 master elites. Just dont seem right a template of just 4000 comando can get that much exp over us. But hey, thats how it goes in the game. It was programmed that way and so it is just as legit as what i did, but i personally feel like i earned it way more doing it the longer route. Thats not a knock to you nade users either

/agree Ritzuko ... the Corsair Canyon is great for combat grinding! Corsair Pirates & Gurks... that's it!

no free unlocks, glowie from day 1 of the publish, finished grinding all my xp over a week ago, just waiting for phase 3 again,

i started in mid november, unlocked this phase ranged accuracy...already got 3/4ths filled...tkm/4000 commando....grinding isn't that hard...its just getting the grenades that can be a bear when you run out...all the weaponsmiths that make them have waiting list..mine is 3days...so i grind what i can in 3 days..but nothing like grenades..i really hope they don't nerf the grenade combat xp...i mean..we already have to wait 4 1/2 months...they can only hinder the jedi unlock.....there are still thousands of players that will unlock...only way is for them to put a cap on how many jedi...and i hope they don't nerf it before i become jedi.....they seem to do that often with professions...implement something then few months down the road nerf it..anyways..thanks, Ceasar

I started with 3 free unlocks. I just finished my 5th branch and the last of my combat grind last week. My last branch is Luck and I have 3 boxes left. I'm a pistoleer/smuggler. I modified my template and dropped my extra scouting skillsin favor of Entertainer/Dancer. I'm running my dance macro and slicing while I'm at the keyboard and afk macroing while at work. I'm getting about 20-50k of FS Sense xp a day. I should fill all my boxes in about a month.

started with ZERO unlocks unlocked 5 so far and have all the xp i need for the last branch so im finished the grind and just waiting on the final branch

1 free unlock. Opened 4 additional branches now, will open last branch come the next phase.
Till now I haven't really been "grinding", as I notice my xp cap I go turn it into FS xp.
Also I've been pre-occupied trying to get ACE. So for me....
Hopefully Ace by next week or so, right around when the phases change again.
Finish my last FS quest and then I'll take some time to seriously grind.
Currently 1 line done and 2 boxes filled so still a long way to go.
(Off subject a little, does the C-12 grenade thing work for non-Commando's?. Unarmed is easy to max, combat is a bit longer...)
