Hmm you are right about the flat land, but I was thinking that more or less just to keep in with Luke's "I can't land an X-wing, but I can blow up a DeathStar" issues (there is the fog after all lol). It did give me another idea tho, the land around the village is indeed flat but the village is supposed to be under almost constant attack by the Sith, so they could allow you to land, but then your ship is taken by the Sith and you get it back once you complete the exit quest hehe.
I know...I'm reaching here...

Tossthat Sith shouldn't be able to enter the village trash out the door where it belongs. After all your not supposed to even be able to go to the planet if its blockaded, yet you can.
*It was just a joke*
Seriously I find the trip back and forth to the village to be a nice walk. Yes, I usually walk there... without armor... and *gasp* without buffs. Makes the trip much more interesting.

Honestly, the Sith shouldnt even be able to come into the village. You cant pass through the fog unless the old man gives you permission, so unless their glowy they should be stuck outside...
I think the Sith are force sensitive and that is why they can enter the barrier, but more likely they see the barrier for what it really is - just 1's and 0's and can bypass the coding....whereas we are still slaves? lol and I thought I was reaching before.....

gonna get flamed...but dont care, this might have been discused in another thread;
But how easy do you want to make getting jedi? I mean its already no cahllenge and only requires "time" now you want to cut time and make it so you dont even have to travel to the village?
No there should be no other way to get to the village other than by swoop, I did mine this way and if it took me a couple minutes to get to the village no big deal, heck i just spent 2-3 hours grinding whats another 5 minutes?
Whats the problem other than 5 min? you cant tell me the ns stalkers or sMc dragoons scare ya... your buffed anyway. Heck you might even get a crystal.
Its all about bein lazy, I understand to a point but it seems everyone wants stuff handed to em

This seems like a pretty decent idea, but i dont think that it will happen. I heard they might add space terms to the Jedi Enclaves, considering that its a base for Jedi, i think they could add a space term for the village, considering its the base for Force-Sensitives.

above quote = complete BS
being able to land at the village makes SENSE, for reasons stated in the first post. read them if u can. as far as being able to land at the village making it "too easy", pssh, whatever. Its about to get ALOT harder to become a jedi after the CU. Landing at the village will have no effect on how easy it is to become a Jedi.

I think being able to land at the village after a space-based "jedi"ish quest would be an excellent addition to the game.

then why do you want it done? so it will make it faster for you to turn in your xp there is no other reason, I can read just fine and theres no other reason why than that.
I have no problem with things being easier if thats what the devs do, but dont try and say theres anyother reason to do this other than making the grind easier. And yes the CU will make getting jedi harder and thats a good thingit should be hard to get thats why its jedi
Once the villagers get those shields workin for good and repell the sith for the last time youll get your landing staion...its on their list of things to do really!

sure being able to land at the village makes sense, but theres so many things in this game that dont (like how a melee person can take out a jedi for example) that that argument is kinda silly. if they make a game where the storyline has preetymuch no rhyme or reason to it, they shouldnt just throw something random in and say "becuase it makes sense" i like this idea alot better then the shuttle one. but i sitll dont like it much. like the above poster said, its not a big deal to drive there. whether it makes sense or not is irrilevent, becuase its just another one of those story immersion/make jedi longer to get at the same time, kinda things. no to flame anybody, but the whole game is like a mixing pot of things that make sense and things that were never even in the trilogy. so if they add this becuase it makes sense, they should fix the other 1000 things in the game that dont make sense.
also, i COULD tolerate this idea. as long as there were no tangible signs of there being a space port or landing pad. no computers or big buildings or anything. maybe an npc that you talk to that asks if youd like to depart or osmething. and leave it at that.

Normally I am against more travel options BUT this one could work if its implemented sorta like the landing station at Jabba's Palace.
Basically you have to have completed a quest and/or you are a certain rank.
Tho if you argue the Village doesnt have the tech for a shuttle, it sure would have it for a starport

Nah. Work for it. Besides, its only a time sink. Takes, what, ten minutes round trip? I'd like to keep it just as it is, with the "fog" keeping them safe and hidden...

You dont have to havea starport to land somewhere. Ex: the queen's ship landing outside of Mos Espa in ep I. As long as you have space, u can land.

And just what exactly do you plan on telling the space station ant the imperial patrols guarding the planet?
Requesting permission to land at... umm.... well....
*waves hand in the form of Jedi compulsion*
You don't need to know where I want to land.
*ship gets destroyed since you are not ajedi yet*
