Thread: Shuttle for village? I think not. Landing there from space? Now thats another story completely...

Basicaly,the idea/proposal for ashuttle for the village is justwong. It wont happen.They dont keep that kind of technology in general(though you see some higher technology in the later phases), so its just wrong story-wise. However, gaining the ability to land there from space once you become glowy makes perfect sense. The reason you cant go to the village before your glowy, as far as the game's story goes, is that you dont know where it is(as you have to loot a datapad with the wp). But once you become glowy, and get the wp, theres no good reason you shouldnt be able to land your ship there, just like you can land your ship at certain POIs(like Jabba's palace for instance)if you belong to certain squadrens.
How would it work? No, you DONT need a landing pad/starport to land a ship, they landed the queen's ship just fine outside of mos espa in TPM, and you dont even need a starship terminal(tech which would seem out of place), a villager can be created that you can converse with and take off.
From space, when you talk to the space station, an option can be added to the effect of "No thanks, I'll find my own place to land", which will land you at the village if your FS instead of choosing one of the starports to land at.
As a side note, I'm praticaly done with the village, with 5 full trees done and almost 2wice the fsxp needed to get the last one when the phase comes, but that doesnt mean I dont support this idea for future villagers.

This sounds better, shuttle no way...but landing pad for those who know, or maybe a quest....but I am a Rebel and they won't even talk to me at the Dath. space station most of the time.

Well Luke didn't actually land on a platform... He kinda landed wherever the force wanted him to land

great idea it should eather be a side quest at the village or a space station set of mission like when u go to the dant space station and do the mission to be able to land at the abandoned rebel base.

you should beable to land in a lot of places, but yes this is a great idea
by the way luke crash landed on Dath., he actually jumped out of his xwing and floated down.

Regarding the last two posts: You can land at the Rebel theme park, so take that "the empire wouldnt let you land there" trash out the door where it belongs. Not to mention your not supposed to even be able to go to the planet if its blockaded, yet you can.
2nd, there is plenty of flat land around the village to land
