This voices so many of my frustrations. Thanks for writing it. I wonder how long until it is deleted.

i came into this game about 9 months go and i have been angry and flamed the TK corrispandant because that was the second mastership that i got after pilot...i loved it and come to find out it sucked in the CU. it was not his fault and i feel really ashamed of myself for doing that. as for the devs...i think they will be the first against the wall when the revolution happens....uh...hmm...Hitchhiker flash back there.

you are correct and they are clueless and dithering around the trueth and stalling any progress. there commercial glamerizes this game and i am still looking to find the NEW MANUAL that accually explains this new game that i am paying for. have you gotten it...if so could you copy it and send me a copy.

The most frustrating part is that SWG could be the best game to ever hit the MMO market but SOE's lack of vision is fookin' everything up.

i haven't ever agreed with nil as much as i do right now.

When players had some probelems with respec at the end of the respec period, SOE justified not giving out another respec at first by stating that a player can change professions at anytime in SWG, which is one of the advantages of the game. I'd say this xp nerf just shows that the statement was just another excuse.

Allow me to shed a little additional light.

SOE has basically given up on the so-called upgrades. They have said as much already. They will throw a bone now and then, the latest of which will be for Squad Leaders in Pub 24 or 25 based on what JFreeman recently said.

But development on this game is OVER.

So what are the Devs actually doing?

Here is what I see. I have suspected all along since they have so little apparent time to work on the game, that all Developers are constantly working on new expansions, as if to breathe new life into a largely dead game.

Case in point. If you look on the GCW Forum you will see Mr. Frosty recently posted that some type of announcement is going to be made Friday at FanFest re: SWG. Bet you it is yet another largely pointless expansion, this one on capital ships, etc. Adding a battle world will be of some interest I suppose, although the failure to fix the GCW FIRST and then address the classes and their role within it continues to paralyze the game. If it is another expansion, then the whole concept of "we just need a few publishes to fix bugs" is exactly what I expected. Complete and utter nonsense.

It is only a matter of time before the player base wises up here.

Sad to say, but the combination of adding Jedi to the game, coupled with a lack of drive, talent, initiative, resources, etc to improve the game, to build in a robust GCW, a quest system that accomplishes something, etc. has neatly killed it.

Bravo! Nice Post

I always thoght this game had potential, especially when it is about Star Wars.

Many things need to be fixed/balanced/removed or addedin order to make this enjoyable for everyone. Each proffesion should have a purpose and should be able to stand a fight (if its a combat proff) Force powers should work, CHs should work, Driod engineers should be able to build droids and use them in combat, Squad leaders ahould be able to call troops (npc) to help in pvp, wich could cost faction, the more faction u have the better things u could call, but the things they call should only be an aide, maybe lvl 65s stormtroopers or rebel troopers.

Devs, look at the movies and use your imagination.

Maybe they could help the story by moving it on and bring in Hoth, wich could open new quests for imps and rebs. We could have space Guild bases. Imps get star destroyer, rebs get corvette. Maybe to spice up pvp, depending on how high your rating is and how many people of the oppostie faction u kill, u could get vader or leia to visit u and u could get rewards. And guilds should have a pvp rating too and could get guild rewards.

Now im not complainin either, I think MsNil Hit the ball on this, They need fresh new ideas that'll make this game worthy of having a Star Wars name and tokeep people interested, PLEASE DEVS, DONT LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE THAT HATE ON YOU, JUST FIX THE GAME! THE FORCE IS WITH U!...

To add to this, I think a few more SOE workers should be hired, just to read the forums.

well said.

You have that backwards, fire the lazy ass's they have now and get some fresh blood in, this game needs fresh dev's and programmers, people who take pride in their work and are 'hungry'. The bunch we have nowhas grown fat and lazy. They take no pride in thier work, look at the borked junk they keep pushing out as publish's and fix's. Plus all the the new bugs and new breaks that they introduce every time. As long as upper management continues to allow this shoddy workmanship, this game will never get better.

Like I said in another post, we need another developer team...

- A teamwho cares about the players and correspondants (who are bumping into solid walls atm)

-A teamwho has plans for the game (whatever their small salaries are)

- A team who is not afraid to implement and enforce realistic rules to have us really feel the true SW universe for the current timeline and stop wanting to please every complaining whiners.

- A team who is passionate about its work

In one word, a team who loves Star Wars universe, plain and simple.
