Actually its 1 month, as long as you have 50 or 100 posts, not sure on the numerical value required, one of the two.

hence the or. i'm pretty sure its 100 as well cuz reyza already has over 50

SoE was never Verant. Verant was Verant and Sony bought them and most of Verant ended up leaving.

lol pwned!

lol I was thinking the same thing.

Seriously though, playinig a Jedi is not a right, it is a privilege. If it were yours by right, then you would be able to choose it as a starting profession. But instead, it is the highest level character you can play (at least it has the potential to be). And just like all other MMORPGs, you have to spend a lot of time to develop a high level character. You choose to pay the monthly fee, and you know how the system works - if you don't like it, and Jedi is the only reason you play, then stop. Otherwise, just be glad that you have the opportunity to play a Jedi (SOE didn't have offer that as a choice, and it would have made more sense from a timeline standpoint if they hadn't), and that the system isn't any harder than it is (realistically, it should be extremely difficult, but now the only difficult part is patiently waiting for phases).

I did phase 3 combat prowess too this morning on my first try. It's doable with good tactics.

Phases haveto be 3 weeks so everyone (not just you) havs plenty of time to complete the quest before the phase shifts. Not everyone that play's this game is a teenager or young adult with loads of free time on their hands.

i don't think the difficulty of the mission is the problem. the problem is all the people stealing your mission becuase you can only use about 3 bases.

you should know, being on a populated server like ahazi, that this is a big problem. i already witnessed two groups have there spawn stolen after waiting for hours.

You're right, I was very lucky to roll up on the lota base and there was only 1 person camping. He asked me if I'd like to help and the rest is history. The other 2 bases that were closer Nu and Psi were being camped by at least 2 groups at a time. Stealing acommander from someone that's been waiting 2 hours is just plain wrong. I read somewhere in another thread that this quest brings out the worst in people and I totally agree.

Commanderstealing from those that have been waiting patiently makes me ashamed to be a part of the FS village.

Yall's points about privilege is barf time for me fine if it isn't totally bugged

since patch 17 my crystal has memory laspes of what i have done and randomly "forgets things"

the captain remembers i did it but the crystal doesn't

Several of the phases i did twice simply did not compute on crystal. I tried sending in bug reports reporting to csr, sometimes resolved sometimes not

it's not a question of not being able to do the steps it 's a question of patch day and memory problems the game has.

i cannot get past this any longer , just how many phases and times do i have to do a single fs quest if the darn crystal doesn't retain what i have done?

mythic at least saves characters regularly and can bring up logs to check things and give credit where credit is due almost instantly, The csr's there have the power to do that just by checking logs

here there is no resolution for serious issues.

Your suggestion to go back to whatever game, is fine an dandy and just what if everyone that had serious issues that aren't in the known area do just that?

for the record yes i did the captains thing again last night finished it and yes the captain remembered i did it

however paeos and noldan still have laspeseven with necessary combat conversion exp grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

My earlier statement about privilege vs. right was directed to anyone who complains about how long it takes to go through the phases or do the village grind. I know there are quite a few people out there that have legitimate issues - believe me, after playing SWG for the past two years, I know SOE's track record with regard to bugs... Every time there is a new publish or a new patch, I am routinely amazed by just how much of a hold the sales and marketting department must have over the operations at SOE, because it's obvious that they're more concerned about pushing out publishs "on time" and working on new features/content/expansions than taking the time to fix bugs. We can hold out hope that this policy will change eventually, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

In the meantime, the only thing I can suggest is to be persistent in submitting bugs/contacting CSRs, and be as polite and respectful as possible. There are a few good CSRs out there, and hopefully you'll eventually get one that will be willing to help you out.

Just because you successfully did a quest does not mean it isn't bugged.

Many people did the mission for the Advanced XWing but it was very much a broken quest.

I spent 3 months trying to do quests that did not work. My main would be a padawan now except for the broken unforgiving nature of the quests and support available.

The poster is very much correct that in many reguard SOE gives us less in this game than virtually any other producer out there. That said if you want quick rewards, Mostly Solid Quests and tons of content there are a couple great fantasy choices out there.

SWG today is better than it has been in a very long time. It has problems but it's most damning quality has always been the devs desire to punish us for playing the game. There was nothing but grind, useless rewards and more mindless grind. Oh and rewarding content, where? It seems apparent the success of games driven to succeed have forced changes in the game that are possitive. I hope they realise they would be unemployeed today if it were not for Lucas SW Loyalty in the fan base. Even raping the Lore and time line didn't drive all of us away. I'm confident they will fix more and more over time because they want to eat to, and someone must have stepped in and told them to make a fun game. It's not perfect but compaired to where it was and the fact its still the same people with these changes is amazing.

I disagree.

I feal that SOE tried to give us way to much and has been trying to catch up with their ambition ever since release.

We may have less quests than any major MMO on the market but we have vast spaces, very complex and engaging systems, space and ground combat, one of the best crafting systems out there and more.

Most companies are far less ambitious to start out, they plan for less and they do less and when it comes out it's working and they can focus on adding quests and content.

If you just look at the character creation of SWG and compare it to ANY MMO on the market you'll already see the difference.

They tried to put that kind of detail into everything and when it came down to the deadline they were not anywhere near where they needed to be.
