I purposely get myself DB'ed by some rancors or nightsisters and clone at the SO instead of riding back. It wouldnt be as bad if dathomir didnt have trees that like to stop your swoop if you put autopilot on.

no, its not a very educational ride, here is what I have learned:

my barc travels at 20 m/s

ancient rancors are cl 83 with 35k hp

sometimes escaped slaves like to stack up in a line about 100 thick

getting a db and taking the 1% decay on clothing is worth it so that I can get back to my group in 10 minutes rather than 15

Luke didn't so much "land" on Dagobah as much as he "crashed"

I was thinking the same thing . .but then I remembered Return of the Jedi where we musta landed to talk to Yoda again.

still don't think a starship terminal is a good idea.

The only way I could see it really being done is if the Devs add a quest from the Dathomir space station so you can land and take off. Or make a small space buoy that directs you down to the ground.

That's a sub-server line, happens all the time since no one is killing things on Dath anymore other than missions. I see this all the time with Fliers and Kwies. Once I had gotten agro'd by around 90 Kwies lined up, loads of fun when they all spat at me

Being a Jedi is all about patience.

Besides, If you are lvl 60, you should not be doing the village, you'll just get slaughtered. I'm lvl 80 and I almost never get attacked on the way to or from the village. And if I do, i just outrun the agro until on my bike.

Thats the million dollar question right there.. The travel there/backand the grind are really the only things holding back almost everyone from being a jedi. If you get rid of one thing, there are going to be that many more jedi.. Every galaxy would be full of Bounty Hunters and Jedi's and noobs would have little support because of the lack of crafters. I agree that the travel sucks, the grinding is rediculous, and these bugs blow.. But I decided that being a jedi is what I want to do with my character and im going to stick it out till the end, even if it does suck..Just cow boy up and it will all be over in a few months.

The village is meant to be hidden away from the eyes of the Empire, hence it being on Dathomir, and you know, surrounded in mist.

I think the Empire would get a little suspicious if thousands of fighters began landing at exactly the same uncharted spot on the planet, hmm?

No way! If there was a starship terminal in the village, the entire server would be there! It would ruin "the village" experience, significantly enlarge the jedi population, and would end up ruining the whole game.

If what you are proposing cameto be, the devs would have to change the game's name to..

Star Wars Galaxies:TheTotal Jedi Experience.

Now wouldn't that change things

Well...you do have to admit it gets frustrating. Back and forth between the village and the nearest starport. Besides the fact that its not the PLAYER health you worry about...i find myself running through speeders like they're nothing. Personally i agree with the guy who started the post (sorry i was too lazy to look at the name) and therefore WISH that maybe there was a possibility of a player city nearby with a shuttle or something. Besides if they did have a starport in the Jedi Village they could make it only useable by force sensatives and such. MAKE LIFE A WHOLE LOT EASIER FOR US LAZY PEOPLE...BESIDES ITSVIDEO GAME...WHATS THE POINT IN MAKING JEDI TRAINING SO HARD THAT WE HAVE TO SPEND 2 GRUELING MONTHS DOING IT...I MEAN IS IT REALLY WORTH IT?

I did it, thousands of others did it, YOU CAN TOO.
