You used to be able to fly from another planet into a starport, then travel to a player city and he'd be right there in about 3.5 minutes

No flames really.... but I do wish I could get a credit for everytime someone asks about the old man, the sith camp, being glowy.... I would be able to get that uber armor I want.

im just waiting for the old man cause i just finished my 6 branches
can remember how long i waitedfor him the firsttime
i remember jumping shuttle and he appeared but it hasnt worked as of yet
just thought maybe some people had some luck and maybe they wanted to share their experience
Don't get your panties in a wad. I am not flaming you.... too much.
Just giving you alittle heat.
The old man will come in his own time. It is not something you can hurry along, despite popular belief. The fact is, I got glowy, logged for the night, and the next morning, he appears outside my home on Rori. There is nothing specialI had to dofor that to happen.Just find a Player City and camp the town square. Hewill come if you will just showalittle patience.
Geez,the microwave has spoiled people.

well he came about 14 hours after i got my sixth branch
there was a couple of hours of logout time
then someone suggested i try player cities on the edge of the map
i went to a couple of player cities on the edge of the map and
it worked, i missed him the first time cause i jumped shuttle as he came up and talked to me
but quickly flew back and chased him down

the solution is to log out of the game... read a book for 2-3 days then log back into the game... and guess what he should come visit ya

Like others have said, there is no special tricks to make him appear faster. I wouldn't suggest actually "waiting" for him either, i did that for about 30 minutes (waiting outside my house) and got bored outta my mind. Just go about your day to day business and he'll show up eventually. He came in the middle of a mission i was doing, and he patiently waited while i finished killing the mobs, and i talked to him when i finished.

If you don't wait for him it will seem faster. I didn't plan on speaking with him until I after my trip, but I was on this morning and he ran up to me while I was standing on my front porch doing inventory organizing with my droid. Caught me totally by surprise.
