I walked between 2 player cities talking about this in guild chat trying to get him to show up, then a guild mate said "dont bother he wont come today" and the old man apeared straight after that.

So get a mate to say something along those lines lol.

I dont think shuttling works, its anything up to 3 days i believe, but its totally random from what I have heard about the visits

The only thing I can think of it that I tend not to log out, just go afk (to save all my chats resetting all the time). A friend told me to logout for 10 mins and log back in so I am trying that atm.

The other thing is that I still have a newbie quest uncompleted in my journal -- is that causing the issue?

The problem may be that he has already come... and gone.

He still comes even if you are AFK but he does not wait around for too long... So I suggest you do log out in until yousee him!

My exact situation man.

mine was logged in on day 2 in my house ran half way to the shuttleport..

stopped to reply to a tell asking what i was doing and replied with waiting for the dirty old man to show up still............

2 seconds later he apeared lol. I think smack talking the old man in the message system flips the switch.

I have shared this with friends and guild mates and it works great. Log out for 2 daysinside a player city (use this time to spend with family, friends, yadda yadda) because first and foremost it is like watching water boil. On the morning of the 3rd day, log in and within 15min, the old man will visit. This has been tested and proven.

As I was writing my ticket about the no-show old man .... guess who shows up lol

The 3 day wait thing works I had the old man and the sith at log-in after being off a few days in between each
