/sigh Its not an exploit. Want to know why they cap every few minutes? Because the cap is so frigging low. If you want to complete a tree you have to watch your pc for five hours, converting every 5 minutes. If some1 can stare at their screen for that long, than I say let them.

And BTW, I use nades, so thats not why I am defending it.

If you didnt do it RIGHT ON TOP of paemos I could care less. . . every time i go i double click paemos and end up sending a trade request to some Doc hacking away at his "kill bot". . .

no you cant macro the convert part but thats a 10 second process
/dump;
/target Paemos;
/conv;
wow that was hard, now you convert xp and since you can bank as much fs xp as you like you dont need to move until you have enough to train a full tree.
those using have to put grenades in their toolbar too, both those using the regular way have to run around doing missions and refresh 40 times to get the missions you want.

i think you are the one whos an ass my friend... your ignorance is entertaining though

first of all it takes much longer than 5 hrs to do a tree for all the ppl i know who tried this and it is extremely boring and monotenous

second if u knew anything the grenade method goes much faster on dathomir doing wild spawns (ie rancors)

idiot.

I question the last part.. I can cap on 3 lairs with grenades with tapping, takes time armor nades and pups tho, but doable.

And it's not an exploit, its just that the cap is way to low, so you have to grind at the village doing boring stuff, because there are noone around there to heal (this phaze that is)

I think one of the most valuable lessons I learned in the six years I spent it the US Army is to keep your mouth shut when you see somebody else "getting over". You are never doing yourself a favor by busting them out.

A generic, but time tested example:

Whiner: How come we have to do (insert crappy duty), First Platoon doesn't have to do it, we shouldn't have to do it either.
1SG: Okay, 1st Platoon can do it too - right alongside you. Feel better?

It is inevetible. When you complain about somebody having an advantage that you don't have, the powers that be aren't going to raise you to that level, they will nerf the person you are complaining about. That may be exactly what you want, but it goes both ways. Best thing to do is look at the situation and ask yourself if it is worth it. Choose your battles carefully. If the payout isn't worth the risk, keep your mouth shut and walk away.

Edit: That wasn't directed directly at Trajen, but for anybody who thinks they are gaining something by being vindictive and reporting people for stupid stuff just to "get back at them" or be the morality police (Hotbox's name change comes to mind).

Two more valuable lessons:
1. Don't sweat the small stuff.
2. It's all small stuff.

master doc and go rez a friend for hours upon hours and tell me that its just an easy way to get your jedi. even capping weapons xp is more fun and more interesting. takes just about as long too.

Uhh no thanks, I am not saying it isnt "hard" even though getting the xp from being in the hospitals healing people or going on group events would take alot longer.Then there is the problem of the cap limit whitch even if it is bumped up signifigantly people would still do the kill/rez because it is faster. Ok I take it back it isnt hard to do it that way just takes a long time but still less time then a convetional way.

The original question was "kill rezzing in the village exploit or not?"

As an exploit is anything which goes against the "nature of the game" then yes it is an exploit

However, it's an exploit people are using to get around some very negative game aspects that are not being fixed - docs have no choice really. They can get the xp in other ways - by dropping doc and getting something with higher caps but that was not the "nature of the game" as described by the devs

So, like several other things, it should be banned when the alternative is sensible / feasible (afk entertaining is another perfect example).

I do take exception though to those that say combat xp is so much easier to get. The cap is higher but it doesinvolve some element of risk (though it can be small with buffs and armour). But comparing the two is comparing chalk and cheese.

The shortest time to complete a tree is probably not dissimilar anyway - the difference is that one has to be mind-numbingly dull in order to do it quickly. I think a short term fix would be to increase the cap onceyou reach master doc - changing anything before that would be a BIG change and would have to be longer term. Unfortunately, even this would have many moaning as it's the nature ofpeople to moan - some more than others - and we tend to moan more when we care about something a lot.

Devs are caught between a rock and a hard place....

i think its obvious why it should be...capping xp every few minutes and then just conversing with paemos to convert, there is something terribly wrong and unfair with this.

at the moment its just considered the same as tumbling...i saw someone kill rezing the other night and it has pretty much put me off leveling the FS boxes for combat and reflexes, and if anyone says "just get doctor then" thats really not the point is it. with every other profession there is some kind of PVE action involved if we had xp for PVP i wouldnt be so jilted but thats not the case...

Enough with the crying already about how other people get there FS XP.

Nothing but a bunch of babies I swear and it's just plain pathetic.

I grinded my XP with Swordsman, Rifleman, and Pikeman. Docs XP cap at 80k which converts to only 8k FS XP they also are dependant on others to get that XP it's not like they can go heal mobs and get xp so give them a f'n break already.

Combat professions cap alot higher and even with a higher Conversion rate can turn out alot more. Yes there is work involved but as for the Doc it involves alot of cost for supplies.

It is not a bug so how do you think it's an exploit?

Everything people do to some of you people is an exploit.

I used to be a doc and decided to do all combat for FS grinding as being dependant on others for my XP was not to my liking at all and with the 80k cap it's really not that exciting either.

You could safely say the doc is Buying his FS XP as he makes no credits doing this while combat professions (Before solo group nerf) literally made millions.

I can go on and on on this issue and turn it against you so give up the Exploit cry as it is not.

Don't 1 star Don_T... he made a well articulated point. I use the rating system to rate the effectiveness of the argument, not whether I agree or not. I gave ya 5 big daddy!

I would say it falls under the same catagory as tumbling for healing xp. If you consider one an exploit then you would really need to consider the other as an exploit. Thier both ways to gain healing xp quickly and afk.

Who really cares. This grind sucks. I applaud anyone who finds ways to make it quicker. I had a post up about nades, but this is similar. The real limit the dev's put in, I believe, for jedi is the time in between phases, not the generation of xp or the speed therein. And think of this way, all those trees are useless for jedi and a waste of sp if you plan on going jedi. WHO CARES! The dev's know these things exist and they have been around for a while. Believe it or not, they are not stupid. Well..... ..... ......

Amen, brother. . . the grind does suck. I was righteous about it at first and would not use grenades but DAMN it is sooooo much quicker and the majority of other players are doign it. . .go with the game or get left behind, right?
