Speaking as someone who already has a Jedi, I do not think you've deserved all the one stars you've been given, but I also don't agree with your last two ideas. For power gamers the 3 week phases are ridiculous. The problem is, the phases were designed for the non-power gamer. As to the idea for a jedi master to help you through the padawan trials, trust me. You don't need help. The Padawan trials will be the easiest part of your Jedi experience. They are, literally, things like, "Go kill 20 falumpasets. Go find three people who used to play with this musician (waypoints are given)." There's not a single one you can't do alone, and you can easily do all 16 in one day.
But I do understand your frustration. Let me tell you though, the village is the easy part. Actually grinding Jedi is boring, lonely, and not fast.

Jedi are going to overflow the servers anyway, given enough time, with things as they stand now. Sure, the phases stagger it out some, but the end result will be the same. Longterm, there will be lots.

The Four Phase system is used to introduce new Jedi into the galaxy at an even flow... otherwise over population would become an even bigger problem than it already is.

I find this quote funny. Since SoE didn't want Jedi, but Lucas Arts did, SoE put them in. They made it very unfun and tedious with no real challenge other than just the ability to do the grinding for however long. So jedi is not supposed to be fun. It's there because it was forced on SoE. Sorry. That's just funny to me. The irony, OH the irony.

5.second part of jedi training.After u finish at the academies(1 or the other) u r givin a jedi master NPC which will help u with ur jedi tasks til u become a jedi knight, just like in the movies...well w/o the part of them telling u what to do.
6. NO ARMOR problem.Make it so that jedi can wear armor,i mean it's stupid the can't wear armor,some of us need our armor!
7.GCW requirements.Get rid of needing to kill the imps(jedi) or the rebs(dark jedi) thing.that's stupid!some of us don't wanna get involved with the GCW.i'm not saying everyone but some people don't wanna deal with it!
8.Phases.4 words:GET RID OF THEM!
If u have any additions/get want to get rid ofs(i really don't know what to call it:biggrin
- I agree we need something like questswhich feel like actual trainingrather than the grinding of XP to fill the boxes once we unlock a slot, but I doubt the above idea would happen any time soon. Too much programming involved to "fix" a prof they have already "fixed" once. BTW at thispoint in the time line the council was all but killed off, and we will have to see if the building itself even survives the assault on Corusant in EP3 this May......
- Same response as # 1.
- I'm willing to wait and see how Jedi TEFs work after the CU, we might see some improvement (not holding my breath though).
- Again, see response to #1.
- I like the idea of a master/padawan relationship, but a static NPC's wouldn't give me the Star Wars feel I want. I'd like to see higher level player Jedi's have to help a padawan through his or her lower level quests in order for them to level. The DEV's force grouping to complete other quests, why not do it to achieve the Master Jedi tag.
- I'll wait till after the CU to see if they change how it works enough to make a good case to let Jedi wear it again, especially given the new factional armors which would look good on a Jedi wielding a lightsaber. To your second point; If you NEED armor that bad, then you have a lot to learn. Try playing without armor on a non Jedi toon and learn how to fight withouta composite or ubesesecurity blanket.
- Sounds like you want PvE onlyJedi, I don't recall Jedi only being PvE. I don't PvP a lot but once I get to this point I will accept that PvP comes with my choice to become a Jedi in a time where they are actively hunted and killed off to prevent a rise of "light side" opposition toPlapatine(AKA Sith Lord Sidious!!!!).
- I understand the need for them,and I'm not bothered with them. I had one free unlock, which meantI had to do 5 quests to unlock 5 branches to work towards mygoal of Jedi. I've done the quests, and I even unlocked one I branch don't need to get the reward and play a quest rather than grind. And I'll do this again next phase, just for the fun of it!
I do not mean to make this sound like a flame butI have to agree with other posters, this thread will likely get little or no notice till it gets locked.
And if you don't want people to read and reply to the petition at the top, edit it. I see you know how.

I'm getting sick of everyone (like the threadstarter) A. Not understanding what time period the game is in and B. More importantly, wanting to make jedi easier.
Star Wars Galaxies isn't meant to be a Jedi based game. If you want to be a Jedi, play the Jedi Knight games or KotOr. We're lucky Jedi were even put into this game. I understand the FS system should be better, but your idea's aren't the way to go.

No matter what u say or feel i highly doubt anything will change. The CURB is the current focus of the next big publish. The last two big publishes were JEDI related. If I were you I would just stop crying about how hard it is to be a jedi before they make it worse. Its allready too easy to become a jedi. And my character is proof of that. Not that I didnt put in tons of hours, and more dedication than some power grinders. Stop crying nothing will change. The village has been out for months. The convertion ratios have stayed the same, the phase times havent changed. Just stop crying its that simple. You dont have as much voice as you think. And like everything in the game it needs to be put in check, I.E. limitations. So everything uber isnt easily achieved and handed to you on a silver platter.
Yes the current system is more grinding than content. But I would just be happy your not left to grind out random proffessions anymore. Jedi isnt for noobs or the lazy gamer. If you try hard enough you can attain. There are other things to do in this game besides becoming a jedi, if you dont want to work for it then go play Jedi knight Academy or KOTOR.

Timelines and all the other BS aside, Look on your game box, you are told you can be a jedi, though they should warn you before you buy that it will devour your social life and will not be fun.
Plus everyone is intitled to their ideas, it's funny how people like to criticize others, especially when those ideas conflict with theirs. This game is a game, but you say "getting jedi needs to be hard" that is crap. It can be long, it should be fun and that is not the way it is now. I really doubt anyone loses sleep on the number of jedi on any given server. I like everyone else, pay to play. I buy entertainment. I should be entertained. Period.
Though the posters "new system" is a little difficult to fathom, it is never the less just as important to him as your system is to you.
Thinkk about that before you post next time.

Well the devs had their shot at making it fun, but with everything that is great comes work. So its almost impossible. The village seems to be the mix of both content and work. I doubt things will be changed to the method of attaining jedi again. Therefore I see no reason for people who are new to the village to come up with these petitions about changing it. If anything convertion ratios, phase waits, and xp caps could be changed. But people have complained about those since the village publish and it hasnt changed yet 
. Who wouldnt like a completely quest based system to jedi? Who wants to slaughter countless creatures all in the name of the force? But what can you do its how the game has to be. To achieve novice in every other prof you have to do work.It just seems pointless to beg for something the devs will never do. The next Publish after the CURB will prolly be GCW related. And for one the FRS needs way more attention than the village if on the subject of Jedi top issues.

Well aparently he is not the only person who doesn't know what time period this game is in. The Developers must not know either, why would there be so many Jedi durring this time frame when there is maybe4 known...
(Emperor Palpatine=AKA Sidious, Darth Vader, Yoda to a choice few and Luke Skywalker) so dont gojumping him for being in the wrong time period cause the people programming the game obviously dont know.

Every PC player in the galaxy, is NOT born with any gift, or gene of the force. The people in the movies have, and if they didnt, Im sure they slaved like us.

i wonder how many people are grinding jedi just to open another character slot? maybe thats why theres so many unlocking...
