Thread: heightened senses-medic convert macro needs help

The problem is not people who are using external macros for stuff like this, which is not allowed in the EULA. The real problem is that we have a game where this is necessary. Wouldn't it be so much better if we could just get the XP by playing the game. Problem is however the stupid caps. There is no way you can grind out medical XP by playing the game normally. A doctor will get alot of XP by buffing but they will cap very quickly. With 80k converting to 8k FS XP that would mean that you would have to spend a lot of time travelling back and forth to village. That is not quality gaming time that most people consider fun.

So what is the solution. Yes, running rez/healing macros in village.

I don't think running an external macro program is much different than running in-game macros. It is wrong having to use any of them. But a bad system get bad solutions.

I think people shoudl get off their high horses and not accuse other people for "exploiting" when they don't play the game as it is intended themself. I don't think that devs made grenades so you can get jedi much faster. And targeting the lair so you never miss is also an exploit technical speaking (I see it as a work-around for the bugged accuracy/speed on grenades).

Also consider what it would be to grind combat/weapon xp if cap was 30k combat XP for example. That is what doctores/medical/scouts has to dela with. Lots of trips to village.

Devs, content is not driving a bike. Seems like they think it is with thous elow caps and the only new conetnent they come out with lately is racing tracks

If he wants to grind AFK let him grind AFK. Life will go on and he doesnt have to do something that is by definition completly rediculous.

They are right about third party programs though, good luck trying to get it.

obviously the people who are flaming this guy has no clue about the doc profession. our cap is at 80k which makes no sense what so ever. That is 8000 fs xp. come on now that is pathetic. I have done the macro and it's not as easy as people think. It takes forever and you have to sit there for hours because the xp caps so fast. Do what you gotta do to get the xp i don't see a problem at all if the game alows it. good luck man.

So just because it may be HARD to become jedi, it gives you the right to AFK grind? If you don't like the medical FS grind, then by god don't do it. But don't use the fact that the medical grind may actaully provide a CHALLANGE to support using AFK macros. The people that use the macros are most likely the jedi sentinels doing the bh/FRS exploiting and spamming "ANYONE WANTZ TA DUELZ MEH"?

Oh and by the way, before you start saying shiz like "You don't know what its like to do the grind", I do because I did it. And I didn't like it, so I changed my ways. I didn't complain and beg for an easy way out.

Ok, so far i wrote a macro that starts a conversation with paemos and keeps your deathbot targeted. Then it selects the option to convert to senses xp, but i can't figure out how to get it to select Medical and select a number of xp to convert. I'm hoping some smart macro writers can help finish this off.

/conversationstart paemos

/pause 1

/ui action conversationResponse2

/conv paemos
/pause 1
/npcconv2
/pause 1
/StartThirdPartyProgram
/mouseclick medical
/pause 1
/mouseclick ok
/pause 1
/mouseclick amount of experience
/pause 1
/mouseclick ok

Hope that helps

You forgot /repeat in there! Other than that, great macro Joe!

I don't know about the macroing of XP gained, but as for gaining XP, you could always go to 4000 Doc and do the rez grind, or 0400 Doc for a higher cap and more powerful heals, either option just takes an extra 40 SP. As for comversion, just set a timer and do it every so often, it's manageable, especially with the ability to start converting while still grinding.

Pardon my ignorance of the Doctor profession, but in reviewing the profession calculator it looks as though 0400 doctor is what grants rez (Revive). Am I misreading?

You may be right, I was at work at the time ... I think you ARE right, 4000 was extinguish fire, I believe. The point remains, it's only one line, just watch the med use.

Personally I intend to grind the xp for the luck branch by hand with my alt tumbling right next to Paemos. I only have medic 0040 and I'm going to do it anyway, and it's going to suck. I'll macro the /healdamage; /pause xx on the alt, but I won't macro the conversion because I don't agree with it. Maybe that's arbitrary and irrational to macro one task and not the other, but my $15 a month gives me the right to play the game however I choose, immune to the criticism of others. Same for this guy. You're very plainly not entitled to an opinion on how he plays his game.

But just because I don't agree with him doesn't give me a right to /soapbox on him. That's my opinion, anyhow.

Cheers.

Im entitled to any opinion I wish to make, hence it being an opinion and something that I believe. If you don't agree with my opinion, it is not my problem but saying I can't express what I am legally allowed to do is hypocritcal.

You will soon convert to rez packs like the rest of us when some doctor comes along and buffs your tumbler. Good luck with that.

I thought of that. I'm just going to have to take my chances; I'm not willing to run up master doctor for one one FS branch. I'm in no rush to grind this out, either.

I was thinking of asking someone to buff his health and action but not substats, just so there'd be more healing to do without him being able to recover on his own.

Thanks for the warning.

lol leave me alone.

You're all certainly entitled to your opinions, regardless of how aimlessly critical of others. I'll give that much back to you. But what we've got here is 1 guy trying to find a shortcut and a few others that are jealous. If someone else's actions bother you so much, maybe you should play a single-player game on Nintendo and not be stressed out by people with different strategies.

I just think it's ridiculous to see one player trying to act like some sort of moral cop over another just because he disagrees with a method. This guy wants to macro his way to Jedi? Big deal, let him. But please, don't flame / cry / whine / embarass yourself on a forum post over it. That's just.....well....homo.

Hooray for 5 am forum whoring. Wooooo
