Thread: How Do I Steal a Phase 3 Mission?

If you are smart you will not have to steal a base. Just wait until the US goes to bed. After 1:00AM Central time the game gets much less populated (in my experience and on my server). I had my pick of the 2nd closest and the 3rd closest. Yes, the closest was camped, but while they were wasting time I had finished the quest and was already grinding on Dantooine before they had even started!

Why not go to one of the other bases. There IS more than one.

I had someone first say in spatial that they have been camping the base for four hours and they were running a business helping people through the phase 3 quest. Therefore, it was "their" spawn. Sufficed to say, they were camping the closest one to the village.

So, our group dropped the shield and went on our way. Completed the mission in 10 minutes.

Honestly, no one owns spawns folks. Devs have stated it and made a point of designating (in this quest) a means for someone to take ownership of the mission for a short period in order to fulfill the quest. I'm the last person to pounce on someone for trying to run a business, but your 'rights' end when they affect gameplay of others, IMO.

People spend more time at the bases yelling at each other than it takes to run the mission. Sheesh.

Whether it's an Ancient Krayt or the Phase 3 Combat Quest, there are clear definitions of play. I cannot believe that every base on Dathomir was empty when these 6 groups lined up. They all just wanted the closest and wasted more time waiting (and / or arguing) than just running the mission.

As for screwing over fellow players, as long as the devs refuse to make some sort of contracts system, that will alway continue.

I have no idea how a contracts system will stop people from stealing missions from other players but the root of your story seems to be players who were attempting to grief others by denying them content which is a bannable offense and should have been reported to the CSRs.

if he waits in line other people will screw him over and he wont get it done. you dont have to be the most 100% polite

or just go to a different base there are 3 others that are easy and doable

Yes, base stealing (20 timessince the phase change, no more remotes left) got so bad for me I quit this quest and cancelled my account. I figure why play a game that makes me angry, after all...its for fun.

dind ding ding . . . . give that man (or woman) a prize

if people are griefing you from content . . . aka . . any quest . . . report them. Punsh the players in the wrong, no the ones who are in the same boat as you.

Posted this else where but here you go...

Do not steal.

get 8 player group (group first) 1 player pick captian 7 pick shields.

1 of the 7 shields get a close base the other 6 get the ones no one is at.

While still grouped! ever player but the 2 for closest base disable their shields.

Then meet a base, and run mission as normal: all 8 players must kill sith.

You quest log updates that you taken down a shield while grouped with player X.

When player X takes back captain every player in that group that took down a shield completes mission.

8 winners instead of two.

Unfortuantely, you cannot take the mission a second (or more time) the next phase. Finding 8 at the same time that need it (and in the same general community) these days is a challenge I would think.

Well if there are hoards of people camping the bases you would think some of them would want to cooperate if there is a way to get 8 people through it instead of 2 at a time. But what do I know.

/my exact thoughts

Granted you all have to kill sith to get more feq. codes (perhaps you still have some from the search for close ones).

If the are 4 groups waiting to go through, that means that two people are going complete mission 4 seperate times.

If all 8 can complete it in 1 time with cooperation...

Then again you can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink.
