As far as crafters go 2 simple things could really change the FS grind for crafters trying to get craftin lines...


1) Remove xp caps at master... and master only, this will keep players from gaining tons of xp for say WS and then dropping it for abit only to remaster in 2 mins. As it stands a master architect caps at 240k structure crafting xp, and at the conversion rate I only get about 6500 FS xp. I can cap that resocking my vendor in less time than it takes to travel out to the village.


2) Allow crafters (possibly only masters) the ability to gain xp from removing an item from a crate.... This used to be part of the game. This will give masters a better chance to gain xp since most do large factory runs of stuff instead of making by hand


OR

Give 1/2 or 1/4th the normal xp when a factory makes an item from a schematic you made. Again giveing masters a chance to get some sort of XP. And also keep say non masters from getting ahold of a schematic for a large item from a master and running it themselves and thus using a loophole.



Regardless crafting XP really needs some attetion. Combat profs can make large quantities of cash from thier grind by simply investing 15 SP into novice scout, and that's if they don't make money of NPC loot and missions. Meanwhile crafters are basicly forced to sink ten's of millions of credits worth of resources.

i second the jedi and shipwright XP need conversions.

shipwright should be a crafting and jedi should be able to pick anything since they are beyound force sensitive.

C'mon Folks! You mean to tell me that since the Jedi Revamp hit and with all the complaints out there since then, that no one is going to step up on this? SonGouki has a great thing going here for us here to try and fix a lot the things everyone has griped, beatched and complained about since this revamp hit. Go back to those posts you already have out there, revise em to constructive ideas and add em to the sections on the initial postswere they fit in! This is our chance to actually be listened to! Don't let Son's work go unheard as he is going off of your Screams for Help!

i agree that the fsxp conversion rates are outragous. they need to be adressed. i do not mind putting in some time to be a jedi but i work 50 hour weeks and my girlfriend does not like the fact that i play games at all. much less the hours the devs think i should have to put in to be jedi. i did not get any free unlocks when i got to the village and have had to unlock all that i have the hard way. i have been playing for 7 to 8 months and will get my fifth row unlocked this phase and the final one next phase. however i will not be albe to unlock my jedi for some time after that because if only have two boxes filled. i want to be jedi that is the primary reason why i play the game. but i do not want to lose my future wife for it. i love the new system with the quest. i don't even mind how hard the quest are (even p3 combat). but the conversion rates are killing me. i only hope that the devs will remember that this is only a game. and try to make it a little less time consuming. thanks for listening

I would love to see these changes made.

I think the LS crystal (P3) idea is not only a good one, but a great one. I mean, c'mon, 4.38 years before all the crystals have been cycled?

But if there is one thing I have learned from playing SWG its this: Its a work in progress. There are many things I would like to see changed or improved in any game. Atleast in this one, they have the ability to do so...whether or not they actually do is another story lol.

But honestly, I did not think P3's (Capture enemy leadership) quest was that impossible. My friend and I actually had to do it twice (we botched the first time, I took the commander/he took down the shields, when it should have been the other way around lol). We had the 15 Thug spawn right outside the gate both times. And yet, with a little persistance, some clever thinking and a lot of tanking we were able to do it both times (tho the first time did not count, returned the commander to the village and nothing happened except he died from the poison after 10 minutes of just standing next to Paemos). And neither of us died or got incapped on both occasions.

Personally, I liked the fact that I was actually challenged in a quest. Sure, the Thugs would be near impossible for a rather new player template, but this is the FS quests...are they not meant to be hard????

Regardless, I think most of these ideas are great and hope they get fixed/improved soon.

The only issue I have is I think the conversion rates are a little steep for the casual gamer. Grinding 900k unarmed XP for ONLY 30k FSxp is a little much, and the same can be said for the others.

If they want to make it a grind, make Jedi Initiate/Padawan skill training the grind, not the FS tree's. But that's just IMO. Everything else looks fine to me.

I understand, and totally agree, with the need for Jedi to take time to unlock, but the way it is now is insane, mainly due to the fact it is so horribly boring, I mean nothing but grind grind grind, if there was any fun to it I could live with the other serious issues:


--Waiting such an insane length of time between phases.


--Not being able to choose which tree's to unlock.(Hey we have to grind this bullsh*t the least they could do is let us choose what we are grinding for, without having to wait months for the right cycles.)

Why is Force Healing so useless for Doctors?


It might be useful for someone who only has Medic, but for a Doctor, the bonuses to Injury Treament and Injury Treatment Speed are meaningless. I'm already at +125 with clothes, with 800+ power stims I am fine on the few occasions I need to use them any more -- with everyone going around buffed to the gills I hardly ever have the need to stim at all. Why isn't there any kind of bonus to Wound Treatment/Wound treatment Speed?


All I was hoping for was a little useful FS skill to round out my career as a Doc/CH. I can unlock the combat skills but I will never get the combat xp to train them since I have no points for fighting skills. I can't even open the crafting skills since I have no points for Artisan. It would be nice if the one thing I can both open and train would be worth SOMETHING to me as a Doctor.
