Can you experiment on a lightsaber? If so, do you need to be near a weapon crafting station or where at? Also can you add power ups to your lightsaber? Thanks for the help. Let the noob flaming begin.
yes (If you have points oviously), weapon crafting station (I've always used a personal, don't know if it works with publics) and no (lol, power ups)

well heres how this came to me
i was waiting on a shuttle and i seen a jedi with his saber equiped with tkm as his tytle
so i tell him just incase he didnt know that his saber was equiped. He replyed that it dont matter that its equiped cos it was gaining him 0 vis
he then procieded to explain to me that a csr had told him that having your saber equiped doesnt gain you visibility.
i found this strange cos ive read loads of posts here saying it does it does
is there an official line on this or was this player wrongly informed by a csr ne1 know?
thanks

CSR's will never give you the smae information twice in reference to gaining visibility.
I thought i remember an update that included increased vis for those wearing robes and or equipping sabers in public.
Needless to say, my weak arse doesnt do either.

hiya
i have tuned a few prems, and here are stats for the the 2 of them that didnt tune very good: 50/50 -4 and 48/48 -3. the other two tuned nice -8 and -9. i was wondering if i should use the first two in a grinding saber. will they be any good in a 4th gen pvp?
and also does it make a big difference if use 1 or 2 -8's in a 4th gen, rather than putting all -9 crystals in them. any help is appreciated. thank you

i usually have 2 sabers...one for banging on lairs and the other for hitting mobs...the one for lairs has crappy crystals and the other has the good crystals....

Go with the -9's. The other crystals will make you drain your force pool in no time.......I used to use my swordman skills to hit the lair and equip my saber then I had 5-6 mobs around me....saves a lot a force:-)

the 10 force cost most definately. that 4 fc dif makes a big difference. the extra 10 dmg just isnt worth it

max 47 fc. almost impossible to see that number but there are people who did.
with basic maths...
-9 x 4 = -36
36 + 10 = 46

typically 48 , rarely 47 are good numbers to aim for
it appears that both sabers and crystals have hidden decimals , so that my 48 with 4 -9s gives a fc of 10
so the combination of decimals gives me an extra -2 , there was a good method posted on this forum to determin your crystals fc decimals but other than doing that method (which involves crafting lots of sabers with different experimental efficiency) its usually to just "try and see"
