Lol, I read these boards all the time but I just can't seem to find the answer to this question. When building a Light Saber, do you need a force crystal? I think i heard that you don't need a force crystal but can add it as a powerup but Krayt pearls are generally better. I am kinda lost here and need to know if i should start collecting crystals or not

I've been looking at the Jedi Skill Trees and wandering a few things.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
Padawan level is 1h
Knight is 2h
Master is Polearm/Dual Bladed
At each lv does the saber power increase? Or is a 2h training saber equal in power to a 1h training saber?
Sorry If i sound n00bish ![]()

I can't say from experience, but from what I have hear the 2 handed training's stats are the same as the 1 handed....

Ok i made a second generation saber with a pearl (185 dmg - force and speed) i ended up with a saber that was 1.0 speed and max dmg of 570..after a few days it was past 50 percent allready so i repaired and it dropped down from 1k too 660..had too repair again now at 523..my question is if it breaks and ends too 1 will i be able too use it for the third generation saber? Another question..If i have same prob with my 5th generation saber and i repair it till its gone .. do i start from scratch on another?? i have 3 krayt pearls with 122 dmg and - speed / force on them..im holding them right now in lieu of answers too my questions. Im hoping the darn thing lasts till i get 4 3 2 2 in initiate before making third generation..pls help me with this
Another question..how good do you think 5th generation saber will be after i use the 3 pearls? they all are pretty much the same 122 dmg -2 or so on speed and -4 on force on 2 of them and 1 is 0 force. Thanks!

If you upgrade it to 3rd generation without it breaking it will be back to 1000 condition
I've done it for myself had a saber that was like 700 condition upgraded to 4th generation and was back to 1k condtion. I would suggest using it till about 100 condition then keep it till you can upgrade it.

Okay, I know you can't slice your saber, but can you put melee powerups on it?

I'm 0/0/4/0 in lightsaber. I haven't made my first saber yet. Should I go ahead and make a first gen saber or go straight to third gen? Or can you even go to third gen right off the bat?

Make 2 different ones.
Make a nice 1st gen to spam specials with and make a 3rd gen for that "oh shiat" moment. Enjoy

Yeah, you can go to third generation right away. It's not like the old system where you need a second generation saber to make a third generation one.

What Durama said.
Data is showing that the cost vs. benefit for 3rd gen isn't there, so make the 1st gen for day to day, put a good pearl in it, and keep the 3rd gen for those...

Can you experiment on a lightsaber? If so, do you need to be near a weapon crafting station or where at? Also can you add power ups to your lightsaber? Thanks for the help. Let the noob flaming begin.
