And I just love how all the smug comments come from people who already unlocked a jedi. Personally, I have 2 jedi, but I see nothing funny in this. I was there in the hologrind, and by far most hologrinders had it easier then than the fs grind is. Resource cost indeed. What about the costs for food, armor and weapons? Not to mention all the hours spent in mindnumbing boredom grinding the same mobs over and over. At least in the hologrind, there was some variation.
Also: SMC caves anyone?

All the "old timers" are all the same, talking smack about how rough they had it WAAAAAY back when, and how any complaint about anything nowadays should never be mentioned, simply because everything is easier than when they were growing up back in the neighborhood...
Going from 10:1 to 30:1 sucks...period. I don't really care how tough you think you had it.
So if you're a jedi now, why are you hanging around the FS forums anyway? Isn't that kind of like the football QB from 1985 lingering around the locker room just to try and capture the feeling again?

Are you talking about the holocron grinds that could be done with power AFK macros (mastering professions in a day or two) or after the macros were nerfed?
Yeah, funny isn't it? All you needed to have was the $ to buy the resources and a couple hours to set up the macro's and off you went to the master box in no time.
It was actually easier then to grind out Prof's because you could SOLO hunt the combat professions. Can't do that anymore either.

if it ends up taking 8-9 months thats where something needs to address because that does create problems, but think about it, 6 months = 180 days to get that done, most of you havent even been playing for 180 days and yet already have 5-6 professions ground out.
"oh but the casual gamers cant do it! they cant get jedi!" shut it im a casual gamer myself, the village has taken me 1 year to complete (started the day it went live) half because i wanted special unlocks and the other half because i didnt know wth i was doing.
your all just freaking out because you cant get your grinds done in a month and then do nothing for the rest of the time.
In Korea they would tell those in country that the point system they were working on in order to rotate back to the world has just been changed and their time in country was extended as a result. This was one really good way to crush hope for soldiers.
Think about what you're saying with your blanket comments there Mr. Wizard, you're stereotyping every FS grinder into the "whining that you cant do anything for 6 months" category. There are plenty of us out here who have been casually grinding for over a year, despite the CU, and looking forward to unlocking. To face a setback like the Combat XP nerf is frustrating, especially when we hear it's only due to the fact that some players were using grenades to grind and the devs didn't like it.
How about you grow up a little and stop stereotyping...

It will delay the grind. It won't be as significant as people may think, but to say it won't delay "at all" is naive...
