1) in my experience, yes, they help.
2) I do 1 point at a time. More time consuming, but more effective in my experience.
3) Change sabers.
4) Not sure, but I always use the best resources available anyways. And I have noticed minor improvements with better resources and better assembly outputs than with worse ones.
5) the higher the better. Search around and see if you can find a vendor that sells +14.00 or greater.
6) Yes .. again .. the higher the better. Allows you to experiment.
7) it helps give a better outcome. Research City, cake and port, along with high equipment rating, and best resources can help create a very good saber no matter what level you are.
8) Ummm .. I'm on chilastra, but I don't have a listing. I usually shop around the vendors until I find what I'm wanting. Try checking outside of theed first. I found many jedi related vendors around there.
9) About crafting sabers? At early levels, focus more on force cost. As you get higher in saber, you can focus a bit more on damage, but saber cost should be the primary focus.

Is there a guide somewhere that tells you all about crafting the tool, Lightsaber and also information on how the tuning of Crystals and Pearls work?

Any links, info, tips on crafting lightsabers? Like best materials to use, so on and so forth. I'm at the point in my jedi trials where I can make a lightsaber and could use some pointers. I've tried searching all morning but the site won't let me do any searches for some reason. Any help would be appreciated to help jedi noobs like me. Thanks!

For sabers you want: Liawhe Culsion Gas, Obiate Duralloy Steel, Eweodehi Polysteel Copper, and some type of Titanium Aluminium and Polymer Chemical (cant remember the resource names)

Resources ARE all different on different servers.
Try looking on your Galaxy trade forum most servers have someone selling a "Kit" of 1k of each of the finest resources for crafting sabers.
Find a good place to craft....in a City with Research Center Specialization and near a decent crafting station.
Get yourself some Bespin Port to drink(Gives better chances for a Great Success in an Experiment)
You drink one per experiment attempt.
Most people I know Experiment for Efficiency ie. Lowering Force Cost...Force is Life
Any left over Experimentation points throw them into Speed to increase your Damage per second.
Having Master Lightsaber will get youthe most Experimentation points to use and if you just dont want to grind that out, get the XXX4 Tree in Sabers and do the best you can. Unless you are Lucky enough to know someone with a +25 Lightsaber Experimentation suit already.

Is there any generalization, like do I want metal with high conductivity, shock resistance. That kind of thing. I wasn't asking for specific resources.

Order of Importance to Me:
OQ
CD
SR
UT
Nothing else matters. SR and UT only affect wound. OQ and CD are the big'uns.
