Lightsabers cannot be traded or sold correct? That means the better I am at creating my lightsaber the better I will be in combat (with certain lightsabers skills.)?

So will being an artisan type profession mean you will create a better lightsaber or does everyone have an equal chance of making a good one?

The Lightsaber crafting skills and bonuses are in the Lightsaber tree, Novice Lightsaver, the Tech branch, and Master Lightsaber specifically. Artisan skills have no effect.

BUT the FS Crafting skills WILL count toward a better saber. Not to mention of of those reward Crafting tools with critical success bonus.

I believe that you mean the LS Crafting Tools at 15.00. You make those yourselves but to get to 15.00 you'd need really good materials.

1) in my experience, yes, they help.
2) I do 1 point at a time. More time consuming, but more effective in my experience.
3) Change sabers.
4) Not sure, but I always use the best resources available anyways. And I have noticed minor improvements with better resources and better assembly outputs than with worse ones.
5) the higher the better. Search around and see if you can find a vendor that sells +14.00 or greater.
6) Yes .. again .. the higher the better. Allows you to experiment.
7) it helps give a better outcome. Research City, cake and port, along with high equipment rating, and best resources can help create a very good saber no matter what level you are.
8) Ummm .. I'm on chilastra, but I don't have a listing. I usually shop around the vendors until I find what I'm wanting. Try checking outside of theed first. I found many jedi related vendors around there.
9) About crafting sabers? At early levels, focus more on force cost. As you get higher in saber, you can focus a bit more on damage, but saber cost should be the primary focus.

Hey.. thanks for the quick response! What I meant in question #3 is the style of your saber hilt. I think I saw a post that showed the different styles, but it didn't say how you can select them when making a saber...

I'm a total noob at crafting so I did a search on "crafting lightsabers" and the search results gave me posts from January 2004... Does anyone know of a guide for crafting lightsabers?
Questions I have:
1. Take Pyollian Cake before each assembly attempt and Bespin Port before each experimentation attempt, correct?
2. Is it better to experiment 1 point at a time or all at once?
3. How do you change your saber style?
4. Do you need the best resources for the crystal packs? Does the assembly success result affect your final lightsaber assembly?
5. What is a decent lightsaber crafting tool rating?
6. Do I need a weapon crafting station? What does it do andwhat rating should it be?
7. Should I be in a research city? What does it affect... assembly or experimentation, or both?
8. Does anyone have a list of the best saberresources available for Chilastra?
9. Is there anything else I should know?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
Much appreciated,
Ju'us
