I was going to be a TKA/Commando, hit the holocorn today and it said you must be a TKA...

So I guess technically I am doing this for the holocron, but I was going to do it anyway

I started off as a tka back when swg was in beta, i even started out as a tka when it went live, but i gave it up to try a few other things out. I have tried commando, bounty hunter, mch, and a few others i tested out also. However i have come back around to tka once again. I am currently 2-1-0-1 in tka and am also climbing the doctor tree. And after holding a gun and learning to kite and use my specials effectively, there just ins't a comparison to TKA. Tera Kasi is a blast, theres nothing like running in and kicking the snot out of everything. Anyone jackass can sit back with their flamer or llc and blast away trying not to get hit. But it takes a whole lot more to be in the middle of battle, keeping agro off your healers and ranged classes, all the while switching between specials and states, and trying to heal yourself. Without tka and the other melee classes, this game would be a joke.. It would be all run and gun, and as we all know that is lame and boring. Long Live the TKA's.... as stated it takes a big set of cahoonies to pull off the thungs we do.

Pft...I wish my holo said TKM,I got carbineer instead and I dropped Combact Medic Master for Carbineer.. (currently 2/2/2/2 TKA)

I was one of the 1st MD's on my server, and after adding Master Gunfighter, I thought I was happy. When the Holo craze started, and I got sucked into taking Merchant (gack), I felt I had to compensate for being such an absolute powderpuff by learning the purest, most deadliest combat art out there.

Now, I pretty much told myself I wasn't going to chase Holos anymore, but then the Devs actually started THROWING them at us...

Maybe I'll wait for the big combat changes before even thinking about Pikeman <shakes fist at Holocron>

I was a master doc from the begining. I loved the thought of healing others and being able to healmy self.( I honestly can not see how ppl master their professions without being able to heal their selves!). I also picked up pistoleer as an offense profession and I loved it. had one of the fastest/highest damaging pistols for its time (FWG5 69-292 1.7....3 months ago) I thought i had it made, i can heal my self and deal out damage at insane rates. (could out damage a master commando over time). but as I was nearing the end of pistoleer, I noticed my friend fighting with his fists. Now honestly, I never even took a second look at melee combat. dunno why. but when I was watching him fight I thought wow thats ***king awsome! my friend was just a Tk student (hewas a commando dropped master for TKA hehe wonder why?). He didnt even have novice but at that very instant I looked at how much xp was required to finally master pistoleer and thought, must master so i can drop it to get TKA! Now, I didnt even get to see him hit novice before I mastered pistoleer (and as we all know, at novice u get +70 damage mod coupled with vibro cert) but when i did master, I took a screen shot, and dropped it like a bad habit. I was so hyped up at the thought of having enough skill points to get novice brawler, I grabbed it, got unarmed 4, and picked up novice TKA at the same time my friend got novice! We both were so excited that we grabbed tickets to dantooine and got howler missions. At almost master pistoleer I would have been kinda iffy about soloing these guys, I mean comeone! close to 10k HAM a peice and they respawn! Well at novice, (not one block of TKA yet) I drove to the mission spot, flew off my bike, and went on a rampage (had muon gold and my own buffs) kicked the pants off of every last one of them! I love how I look when fighting, I love the red streamers, and I love that im a tank and can fearlessly run into just about any situation with confidence that I will be victorious (minus the whole pvp kiting thing). And to top it all off, i am already a master doctor. man what luck that those to professions go awsome together! To sum it all up, I love TKA so much that in 2 days I am currently 1-4-2-2. Sorry for the semi lengthy post but I absolutely love this profession and intend to never drop it for as long as I play this game

lol got so caught up in spiling my feelings that i didnt even answer the threads question sorry. I picked up TKA by choice. I wish my holo said TKA but sadly it told me chefand am not lookin forward to that grind at all.*sigh

My first holo said Master Chef. I grinded for a week and have it mastered. My second holo said Master TK... gah! I rather grind out chef again!

I just used my third Holocron and it told me to master TKA. I'm enjoying it so far. My first two were Master Creature Handler and Master Artisan. This one is a little more difficult, but I may just keep my Master CH and Master TKA combo.
