Not necesarily

If you mastered another profession since your last holocron, it might be your 'silent one', and using another holocron might be silent

if I use a holocron after already using one, but not forfilling its task, will you get the same response as the first?

yes. master the professoin first, the use the next holo

You can drop the profession before you use the second holocron. You just have to master the profession the first one told you first.
