Thread: Loss of Glowy

For the record, i'd like to state that I never lost anything, I simply didn't advance.


I was surging before pub 24, then pub 24 launched.


Right after the update was complete I got the badges I needed for glowy. I did a /check and I was still "surging"

My last up date. I have done the padawan trials and now have the inner glow. When I was in the Toow beta I did the Obi Wan quests and when I finshed the Obi Wan quests as a non glowing person (i got the invite on the last day that the frogs had jedi skills unlocked but i didn't sign up untill the next day. Doh!) I didn't get the reward light saber crystal.I didn't even know that there was one untill after the beta was over. So it could be a way for the reward to be given to those that can use the reward item. I don't personally know anyone that got the reward crystal for that quest though.

I've lost glowy on Live (was glowy before pub 24 as I got killed by the Sith)


3 Jedi POI, 10 other POI, All 3 (Reb, Imp, Jabba) theme parks, dead eye, 4 tat badges, 7 master badges

Its a bug folks. Seriously. Why would Tiggs post like that if it was an intended change? Why would Tiggs monitor and want info on who was affected and their status if it was just a change? Quit the rumors and stick to facts, rumors only hurt in these situations.

did all reqs. did 3 parks. did jedi pois. mastered 3 profs. did gorax and Kri dai spider and THEN did both warrens after THAT. 25 badges. was "surging" BEFORE i did imp theme,krayt graveyard and 2 warrens now its stil "strong".



wouldnt worry but old man is nowhere to be found.

Ive heard that some people are still waiting and some have gotten the old man even after the publish. With all the new cracks in the system because of 24, it might be the server just cant keep count of who got what when.


Ive been waiting for about 24 hours or so, since I dont really have time to play again until thursday, I suppose Im in the queue for "ye olde pharte" to show up.


Just hope I can keep the jedi thing going without having to buy ToOw :/

You didn't loose force sensitivity at all... they just stealth changed the way it's read.
My friend infact was stong with the force and got a visite from the old man and after getting padawan he was glowie.




So how do new FS characters know when to expect a visit from the old man?

Just to confirm, you can still take a quest even if you're not glowy (I was "strong"). The server that I'm on didn't switch phases till this past Saturday, and I was able to take the phase 3 quest just fine. No problems.


Also, aguildie of mine was visited by the old man and sith yesterday. I'm not sure whether he was glowy before or after pub.24. I'll have to ask him...

the loss of glowy is thought that its due to the new content being released, toow files were loaded into our systems on the last patch, and as it has jedi content its likley that there are now new badges/quests that will need to be completed to regain glowyness.


this is 2 fold, one soe is after more money, if u want jedi u will have to buythe new expansion, 2 the new content will add to the jedi prof make it harder but also more content driven rather than just flying around collecting poi's, this is how it should be and how i wish it was when i became a jedi.


the grind now isnt long and it isnt hard, but it is dull and very boring.


if this has been addressed you will come out better jedi, maybe no new powers, but all of you will have a idea how to play the game

I dont think he was. I did most of the exit quest solo. When a friend of mine came I had already taken the crystals, Darkar (sp), and most of the sith. Mel was only hitting me for 80 to 100 pts of damage. The only reason I may have had a problem soloing him was his regen rate is to fast it would have taken me an hour to slowly wear him down to dead. But I could have let him pound on me all night, he wasn't doing any significant damage.

I'm currently at "You feel a faint sense of the force.". My partner is at "You have a strong sense of the Force within you.". I was stuck at faint before I finished the rebel themepark and it switched to inner glow. We recieved a visit from the old man, sith, & also visited the camp a few days before the patch. Then I think the day after the patch we used the data disk to go to the village. We've had no problems accepting quests or transferring experience.


Although we did start Dageerin's quest the day before Kauri'sphase change, oops. But thats a different subject.


On a side note we had not purchased the expansion yet so I don't see how the expansion files could be effecting anything yet.

Others may have mentioned this, but I thought I would contribute what I could. I have a character who became glowy accidentally. I have no interest in doing the FS and jedi grind again and will not do it again, but I do enjoy collecting badges.


So, I became glowy a few days before pub 24. The day before pub 24, I got a visit from the Old Man. I told him to stick his crystal up his happy place and he went away.


Post pub 24, I am no longer glowy, but that old codger won't leave me alone. Every time I shuttle to a new place, he is there waiting for me and he will follow me around if I ignore him. If I tell him to go away again, he shows up the very next time I shuttle somewhere. I've kind of adopted him as my pet.
