I've already completed this quest with my char but in the past two days I've tried to help 2 diff sets of ppl only to have the bases ruined by@ssholes who won't wait their turns or even ask if this base is taken. The justrun up or drive by anddrop the shields.

YOU PPL MAKE MESAD TO BE FS.

This quest needs major tweaking b/c we have an inordinate amount of immature ppl who need to be taught some f'ing manners.

I agree with trista. I spent a couple of hours (and 3 swoops) mapping out waypoints from the second closest base (zeta on flurry). We managed it with about 5-10 mins to spare. I failed on the first 2 trys so I decided it was time to map out waypoints and what a difference. Only had to climb one hill.

The other thing is: keep hammering away on ~2 ... I must have hit that every second or 2 for the entire trip.

Good luck and I will happily help anyone out on Flurry in the PM pst.

Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that this quest is hard. It should take me 3, 4, or 5 times to complete it solo. But the fact that you can't use any other base other then the closest because the poison & with the turret problems, makes it harder then i think it was intended. I mean why the other bases? They gotta know we cant use any of them other then the closest, right? Whats the furthest base anyone as used to complete this quest?

If they would just take the poison out i'd be happy to walk his ass 5k or more with no complaint.. I can even deal with the turret issue, as long as he dosent die within sight of the damn base.. I'm still upset about last night..lol So much so that im just going to grind xp tonight and take a break from the quest... maybe they'll have it fixed next time around. /shrug

this quest was easy to me i soloed it and all and i have also helped other people do it and they had no problem with it or the run back to the village the key is to loot as many shield remotes as u can from the sith pirates outside the bases after u get 10 or so which will take less time then getting 1 and looking for that 1 base when u have your 10 get the names of what base the yare for then look for the waypoints to the bases on this fourm all u need is the waypoint the names on the bases are switched every phase so they wont be right after u get the waypoints ride around to each and find the nearest one that u have a remote for i had 3500m run and made it in about 20mins or so u just gotta know what u are doing

Turrets aren't a problem use a battle droid on them . The turrets are dead within seconds and you and your droid will be at 100% .

-How to "Solo" The Melee Accuarcy Mission-

-Mapping with Nav Points- First off you will need to map out your trip with the Sith Commander . Start off at the sith base you are choosing to capture from(i recommend the clostest to the village . If you play Wanderhome This would be omikron) . Travel around cliffs . Through valleys and downwards sloaps . Believe me theres a way from anybase that doesnt require you too climb a mountain .

-Destroying the Front twoBlock Turrets- This was the easiest part of the whole mission in my opinion . I recommend you purchase a ADV Battle Droid . Mine was lvl 30 and did the trick perfectly . You want to attack the turrets before the shield is down so what i did was parked behind the sith base and ordered my Droid to attack a block turret . Now one of the biggest issues i had with this when i first started attempting this was my droid didnt want to go all the way to the target . I solved this issue by running into the shield behind the base letting it push me back . I just kept running into it while i commanded my droid too attack the turrets . Worked like a charm .

-Destroying The Gates and Final Block Turret- After destroying the two front block turrets its time to deactivate the shield . Soon as itsdown run up too the door . Get as close to the door as possible and pan your camera so you can see over the door . Once you have done this Target the block turret inside and send your droid too attack . He will go right through the wall and sure enough take it out . **Note: Get this done before the first five sith arrive** . If the sith get there while your droid is still attacking the inner turret run circles around the base . The sith lose aggro pretty fast even running at normal speed . Once the last turret is destroyed its time to pick off your five sith . I did this by standing on the side of the sith base and using my taunt very carefully too pull one to two at a time . Once you have killed your 5 its time to take out the gate . Im a tank so i was able to take the siths damage very well while i took down the first gate , but alot of you may not so what i suggest you do is hit and run . Smack or blast the door once the sith aggro you run circles around the base until you lose aggro and repeat the process as need be . Once the gate is destroyed if you still have aggro run circles this time inside the base until you lose aggro . You may hold one...if so take him out and continue destroying the inner door .

-Capturing and Escorting the Commander-After destroying the inner gate "Right Click" on the commander and hit "Capture!" Okay now you got him here comes the hard part . Run around in circles inside the sith base as long as possible until the commander finally leaves his tent because you will get aggro from the sith . Once hes out run at a distance from the sith base andback to the sith base while trying to fight off a couple of sith until hes finally out of the base . Get about 20-30m out from the sith base then allow them too incap you . This will clear there aggro . Now the journey begins . Using your previously mapped nav points start leading the sith commander back to the village . Alot of you may have questions about how much space to have between you and the commander . I moved 15m away from him and let him catch up too me all the way 9m then move to 15m and then again 9m just keep repeating this..get a pattern going . Now on your way to the village the sith will attack you..usaully one or two at a time . A couple of ways how i dealed with this . First since they really dont do that much damage too me(about 17-36) i ignored them until i saw a group of yellows on my overhead and headed straight for them . I did this because Sith like to use AOE attacks so i let the MOBS take care of my sith problem whenever possible . Now assuming that you mapped a way were you didnt have to climb any cliffs you should not have any terrain issues , but for those who got lazy in there mapping if you have to climb...then climb at a "angle" he will be able to keep a better line of sight on u and you won't have to chase after him as much .

Well thats about all i can think of to help you guys out that are having several issues with this mission . If you have any questions post on here .

I didn't really map out the way to thevillage myselfmyself, but I did find out a few key things, this has probably been said hundreds of times in this thread but eh, I'm too lazy to read everything, plus it seems saying it again and again helps a little here LOL.

Here's a few things Ilearned about the trip with the commander to the village

- The timer on each base seems to be 90 minutes from the time someone deactivates the shields

- Go to the closest base to the village, on Gorath this is PSI, the closer you are to the village, the more time you have to walk the commander back.

- I find you need at least one other person with you, and they should be lvl 80 if possible. I had a hell of time alone and other people distract theaggros from you.

- the attackingsith don't hurt seem hurt the commander, nor do the other creatures. They will hurt you. For me though the commander never got hurt. But for your own sake avoid anything things if you can. I walked right through the sith at the base and while they hurt me (I have some doc) they didn't touch the commander.

- Keep the commander targeting at all times, so you know how far back he is from you, let your friends tell you whats up ahead.

- Keepyour overhead on at all times, that little white dot behind youwillsuddenly try to run off andfor some reason when he's trying to leave he gets asurprising burst of energy.

- Someone, somewhere in all this advice suggested avoiding inclines, thats near impossible in Dath, you're going to have to walk up some hills, the commander walks like a noob up hills so he's going to take some time but down hills he's pretty good.

- Every once in awhile (use your discretion) use the radial to tell him to "follow me" this keeps him on you and seems to be less chances of taking him off

- The commander stops moving when he's like 10 metres behind you if you're not moving, so keep him 12-14 metres behind you, and don't stop moving, that clock won't stop for you.

- Don't fight if you can, your job is tomove towards the village. You fighting means the commander stands thereas theclock ticks away.

- Once you're close to the mysterious clouds of the village, start walking, not running(shift and w for those using the EQ mode) this isn't nesscessary, but it seemed to help me.

- Patience please, I know this quest sucks big time, my guildies will tell you on Gorath that I had a few expletives to spew about this one, but in the end I finished it. This is just a game and if you don't complete this quest, you can do another in the next phase.

- Finally and this one I think is important too, if you have the luck of completing this one, help someone else out, you know how annoying this quest is and I'm sure they're having just as hard a time as you did.

this mission is too difficult, i have found no difficulty in actually taking the base down, the turrets seem fine. But it should be on a MUCH MUCH MUCH quicker respawn rate and the commander should either run or he should be able to ride in a vehicle or something, because i dont know how you are supposed to complete the mission from the bases that are 5-6k away

This is the best advice I've seen in this forum yet. If you've completed it, help someone else out. This quest is damned hard and if we all work together, we can get through it.

I'm on Flurry and if I'm online, give me a shout and I will happily help anyone do this mission.
