I haven't hunted since quite a while before the CU hit due to vis, but pre-CU the higher NSs used to drop the "better" crystals. The higher the NS, the higher the crystal, with the rangers and below dropping color/fair, spellweavers and the like dropping good, sentinels droppingquality and elders occasionally dropping preimium or even flawless.

The drops seem to be messed up since the CU, at least by reports, so you might not get anything better than good from the highest difficulty NSs and even worse from the Kungas and such. Your best chance for good crystals wouldbe the DJMs, though those mightbe dangerous.

Go to the canyon corsair stronghold on lok. On average I get about 10-15 crystals, with at least 4 of them being power crystals. The power crystals tend to be fair tho. some have been good, but then I have alot of fair crystals tune about the same as good crystals anyways.

This kinda is goin off the subject since everyone is talking about the group xp nerf and lots of other things but i had a question on crystals. Where is the best place to get colored crystals now?

I just tuned a "Quality" crystal for 36, that I just looted from 111 NPC. I know it's random, but the results seem to be weighted toward the low end.

Low level NPCs work. Another place you might want to consider is the bazaar/vendor search. Occasionally someone puts a few up at a reasonable price. It'll certainly save you the trouble of slaughtering countless NPCs. I don'tthink Anakin gota singlecrystal after killing all those Tuskens in EP2.

Another plus to using the bazaar is that you know what color you'll be getting.

Ahhh they're all dancing around the real answer.

Go to the Canyon Corsair camps on Lok. Forget the exact waypoint but most of the planetary maps on various websites have the place listed. It might even be a POI.

I was there for 3 hours one day and averaged 1 crystal for every 15 mins. Mostly colour, but a few clear ones too. They were only fair quality, but they were clear.

MUCH better spawn rate than Fort Pushovers, I mean, Fort Tusken. I was there one night for hours and got 1 crystal.

Best place by far to get color crystals in LOK the Canyon Coresares POI they drop colors like crazy you stay their for 30min at most and you will have alot of colors!

Otherwise I highly recommend Canyon Corsairs. Tuskens are meh.
