I've looted tons of these crystals in my travels. What exactly are they used for? What's the difference among the various colors?

how do you tell the difference between quality and good crystals? does it say something different.. the only thing I have noticed different between them is the condition numbers.

Only a jedi can see how good it is.

The clear or white are "damage" crystals that are optional when crafting a lightsaber and add to the damage that your saber can do. These range in increasing quality with the increasing difficulty of the mob you killed for it. Along this thinking, jawas drop lower quality, NS elders drop high quality.
The other colored crystals (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and brown) are required to make a lightsaber. The only two factors that these contribute are condition and color. Your lightsaber blade will be the same color as the crystal, and with use, the crystal's condition will decrease. That is the only function of these crystals.

yep. basically, how normal weapons have condition, lightsaber condition is dictated by the condition of the color crystal used. a 1017 condition crystal will give the saber 1017 condition. i believe thats how it works.

As a tkm smuggler, I can kill groups of any kinf of sisters with ease, including protectors. The only sister I can't kill with TK (obviosuly) is Elders - including Axkva Min, since they have 100% to kinetic. Only a T21 or Powerhammer user can kill elders in a time efficient manner.

I'm a new Jedi and I am not understanding what these Clear Force Crystals and Krayt Pearls are used for. When I created my lightsabers they required me to make 2 refined crystal packs as components in building the lightsaber. Then I tuned a color crystal to put inside the saber.
Do the Clear Force Crystals and Krayt Pearls take place of the Refined Crystal packs when building the lightsaber or do they go into the lightsabe container like the color crystal?
Do you need to tune Refined Crystal packs before you build the lightsaberwith them as components or do you only tune Clear Force Crystals and Krayt pearls that you loot?
Sorry, if this is posted somewhere but I haven't been able to find this informantion and I'm confused.
Pleae help if you can, thanks

Anything greater than a training saber needs a Force Crystal. The amount is related to the generation LS (1st gen = 1, 2nd gen = 2).
So a 2nd gen saber needs 2 force crystals and one color crystal.
good luck to you.

you'll be able to put 1 tuned power crystal with a tuned color crystal into your lightsaber when you craft your 1st generation saber. like that, 2 powers for 2nd gen, 3 powers for 3rd gen and 4 power crystals for 4th gen saber.
