If i kill creatures using force lightning do i get xp? or can i only get xp by using a saber??

You'll get exp, but killing something with only lightning will take forever and use more force.

well this is after the CU when i heard lightning will do way more damage as well i was gonna grind first using mls but then slowly drop saber for powers after i have master enhancer and 4xx4 healer

There goes the jedi again telling you you can't. I have lightning 1 and I killed a seething bol crusher lair and all the seething bols with it as an experiment with lightning one. I took a larger than normal beating but i killed them in about 4 hits. I noticed that i can run and spam lightning, (it comes out of my back), and they don't hit me as i am running so I would guess if you had a cone and they were chasing you you could kill multiple targets. As far as comparing grinding with lightning (or any other power)to the speed ofgrinding withdervishthere is none. It is 10 times maybe even 100 times faster to use dervish and by the time i was done with the lair i had blown through 4500 force. Keep in mind that currently powers has no area attack that does damage. The only way to effectivley grind a ranged cone attack would be against npc's and you would get vis and have bh attack you before you finished your first mission. Ican tell you right now with absolute certainty if you are looking to grind a jedi template without sabers

I am currently x4x4 in ls and have been doing fierce borgle missions on Endor which have been giving me 885 xp each. Well today I log on get all buffed up get in a solo group and grab 2 missions and now they were only giving me 478 xp. I haven't trained in any new skills so I have no clue why my xp was cut almost in half. I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem before and how I can fix it.

XP loss has happened to a number of us. It's a bug somewhere. I noticed that things were conning different colors too when this occured. Something is not calculating the difficulty/skill ratio correctly. When I logged in the next day it corrected itself. It's an intermitant bug and therefore probably difficult to fix. You should /bug it anyway. If they get enough complaints, they may actually look at it one day, but I suspect it's all new code in the CU.

were you grouped when you went back out there the second time. grouping makes you get more xp per kill.

This is the first time it has happened to me so I logged off today and i'm hoping it fixes itself by tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know I'm not the only one out there who its happened to

OK here is my lv 29 padawan
Novice defence, Novice heal,LS 0013
Was on Talus fighting vynocks which were lv 30.
Was only getting 358xp with out an entertainers buff....
Does this sounf right or wrong?
