Someone mentioned 'ID'ing crystals in another thread. The double that I've got doesn't show any details. How do we determine the quality of our crystals?

Jedi has to see it, only a Jedi can tell. I looted my crystal off of a Nym mob out on Lok. Heard NS are good also.

I've only looted 3, but they came from all different levels of NPC's, which will correspond with what has been said so far. Looted a nice twin from Lord Nyax's (very high level NPC) corpse, a crappy twin from a treasure map (this method has really turned up alot of crystals lately, I recommend that everyone search for these), and one very nice single crystal from a random NPC with the title 'pirate' on corelia, in the middle of nowhere,who started shooting at me one day while I was out hunting carnivore meat. I almost kept on flying, but something about the title next to his name made me stop...

A few days ago I got a yellow single crystal fishing, so they don't only drop as loot

You have NO idea how bad I want to believe you, I just have yet to hear ANYONE with a red or yellow name state that they can be found by a means other than combat.

I looted two in a row from Grelek henchmen and smugglers. Not sure on spelling of Grelek, they were on Corellia I believe. Course after those two, I didn't get anymore no matter how many more I killed. This was two days ago.

I looted my first one last week from a Jawa just outside of Anchorhead. If you check the Dev tracker TH posted about the percentage one is dropped. Apparently a Jawa is 1 in 55,000.

with the new patch comming into effect next week, i heard something about force crystals being replaced with color crystals. will that make force crystals a dime a dozen? i know people buying them, should i sell mine or keep them? cant seem to find a thread that talks specifically about this. i appreciate any advise you can give.

A week ago i decided i should hunt for crystals for later use. So i got buffed and went to dathomir to kill some Nightsisters, I arrive at the stronghold and kill pretty much all Nightsisters (except for the elders, darn 100%). No crystals. Then i went to the nightsister cave and cleared it out, no crystals. Then i killed about 20 SMC dragoons, no crystals. After that i decided to go to Dantooine and try my luck at the crystal hunter cave, cleared the whole rotten cave, no crystals. Also killed some random FS npc's, no crystals.

Then i decided to kill some tuskens, i went to a tusken village and slaughtered them all, after that i went to a tusken vs jawa sandcrawler, then i cleared the bunker, and after that i cleared the fort (the executioners weren't spawning, hehe) guess what? NO CRYSTALS! Then i got bored and decided to kill lord nyax, don't ask me why lol. so I arrive in kor vella and see a meatlump, i figured he wanted to die, so i killed him, guess what? A CRYSTAL! I'm just trying to say that that doesn't make sense, killing hundreds of high level npc's and eventually looting one from a meatlump.... is there a bug that prevents certain NPC's to drop crystals?

btw: the crystal i looted was a rotten color crystal
