Thread: Warren
How is killing millions of the same creatures doing the same thing everytime you play for months not a grind?

well its simple really. the problem is you shouldnt be able to have fun. leveling should be as far from fun as possible. any place here creatures are lined up for you to kill allowing you to effectively level at a nice pace is of course pushing you towards the fun department.
currently having fun is not allowed in this game.
Sorry to say, I was having more fun as padawan, and more fun if you don't want to grind in 1 month.
Remove "grind" word out of your minds mates. This is not a single player game that you see "end intros"

Go ahead and use this "increased" spawn rate all you want. We only need to set up a BH terminal like 200m outside the Warren and pick Jedi off as they grind. But guess what? They go back and do it all over again because of how much xp they are getting. I have no problems with it really, I found a friend on the terms the other day and suggested she go and level up at the Wrren as much as she can until she is caught by a BH. This Warren makes the grind easier but it also makes hunting Jedi easier. All I have to do is /target {name} from my friends list of who is on and might be down there and go back to the BH term and get a mission, no Bio sig needed and go to town.
Exactly! This is why I don't understand why BH's need to post about "getting the Warren fixed" all the time. If it is an exploit and if it gives an extreme amount of xp, it hurts the Jedi profession much more than any other profession. For BH's the Warren can only really be considered a "Jedi buffet".
I would never go down there to grind. If not for any other reason, it is because I can never find my way out again. ![]()

not picking on you but a lot of nonjedi grind there too. easy kills, about 3.5k xpto a master elite but a chance at loot and crap is just lined up for you to kill so less running around.

I know others grind there as well. I was down there the other night and it was the wee hours and some swordsman and 1 Jedi were grinding. But in prime time BH'scan pick off 4-5 Jedi in a buff session.

So I cant believe that this is working as intended if this is the kind of exp being churned out...

First.... for you low level jedi...if you dont want to die to a bh..dont grind where your going to get on the terms. Second....I killed a jedi in the warren today. First time i been in there in a long butt time and I can honestly say. That place is bugged. Mobs were every where and more then I ever seen. I have heard of others getting notes on thier accounts as well. Them being in there isnt a prob to me I just go and get down to them and bam with the amount of people there they dont know they are attacked till they are down on the ground and thier ham is dropping. These are like 100k missions and under. Stay out of there. Just dont do it. I am now going to watch those who I know are in there grinding and I will hunt them each day. Easy money to me. As a Jedi Knight who ground out my xp in the wild doing missions, those jedi who grind in there give jedi a bad name. It isnt worth it.Earn your xp the right way. Solo groups may suck in pay but the xp is still good.Redheart

points to consider:
1) The mobs only insta-respawn in certain rooms. These generally are rooms that involve two groups of mobs fighting each other.
2) The mobs will insta-respawn even if players do not kill them. If a mob kills another mob, the killed mob will still insta-respawn
3) One can make 1.3m per buff in the warren. You will also generate massive amounts of visibility. One BH Death per hour yields 900k, which isnt much more than can be made through other means.
4) If the spawn timer is broken, what are we supposed to do? Are we not allowed to go inside the warren at all? Without an official statement one way or another, its a large demand for us all to assume that this isnt as intended and avoid the warren. This is much like the Blueleaf temple which also had a very fast timer, which WAS INTENDED, and then had that timer lengthened.
You can wink & nod all you like, the fact is camping in the Warren whether you can do it or not is exploiting an obvious bug. Bugs like this need fixing. But the overwhelming attitude, especially from Jedi is let's take advantage of this and to hell with fair play. Whatever, I tried talking to a couple Jedi as well as other players simply saying think about what you're doing. You're a Jedi camping xp with total visability. I don't know... the whole thing frustrates me.
I know the Warren. I'm one of the only guides on my server that will take anyone through it and not ask for anything in return except what they consider a fair tip. It was so bad I couldn't get the elevator to work to get the reactor rods. 3 Jedi in the room when asked if they would mind moving so I could try and use it they simply said sorry, we're going to be here all day. You know something's not right when 2 Reb & an Imp are grouped in the room together spamming spin attacks.
As to your points...
1. The rooms that were affected by the insta-spawn bug were not just the rooms were mobs were fighting each other. The above mentioned elevator room is a prime example.
2. This is also completely flawed. The "Reservoir Dogs" room do insta-spawn on their own only because one mob is killing another. This is also a much slower process than any elite profession cleaning them out. As for the popular rooms, see again above notes.
3. This exploit has nothing to do with whether it is viable for a BH hunt Jedi in the Warren. And that's assuming that BH's are going to venture there. No that point is just a red herring.
4. WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO? Ethics, that little voice that tells you something isn't right. Or... doing the right thing even when noone's looking.
And now I know why Jedi are dispised by many in the SWG community.
