Thread: It's not the # of Jedi it's the fact that we're forced to see them

Out of sight, out of mind people.
wow this is atleast the third post today your whining about that today, ill say it again, id like to see what you would do when ur a full temp jedi and pvping
Give it a rest. Why do you care what other people are doing? They let Jedi into the game. Timeline be damned. Deal with it. It's there and it's not going away. If you dont like it then quit. I get tired of the continual threads with someone complaining about "too many Jedi".
People will play what they want to play. You need to get a grip on that.

No, Jedi do not belong in the timeline as it was originally intended. But SOE allowed people to play Jedi, and so people who want to will play Jedi. SOE has already stated that the timeline is no longer cohesive with that of the movies, so we can't expect there to be continuity (as much as some would like it). They're not going to take Jedi out of SWG- that would be the dumbest thing they could ever do. So best thing to do is just live with it and play the game the way you want to play it.

I don't think the original poster is asking for Jedi to be taken out of SWG. Note the subject line "it's not the # of Jedi..."
I agree taking them out would be the dubest thing SOE could do.
That being said, could SOE take some steps to strongly encourage Jedi to keep a somewhat lower profile? Certainly.
Would this improve at least the appearance of continuity which like it or not IS a major issue for many players? Definitely.
Would this be a good thing for the game? I'd say most assuredly yes.
On one hand, you have a lot of people unhappy that Jedi seem to be acting in such an open and overt manner spitting in the face of what little controls there are, BHs/visibility, scans, hostile NPCs. You know, the people who complain about the leagues of Jedi waving the lightsabers around and flaunting powers in front of all the major starports.
On another hand, you have finished template players who see Jedi as the endgame, who say there's nothing left to do once you get there.
If SOE made it much more dangerous to use Jedi skills in full view of the public it would add a lot of spice for a profession seemingly desperately in need of some. Exactly how dangerous could of course be scaled to the Jedi's ability level.

SHOULD BE TRUE STAR WARS.Saber tefs!!You swing your glowstick and all the stormtroopers go hostile. They could call in high level reinforcements to deal with the knights and masters.Bring back bh grouping and make jedi xp loss for ALL jedi with consequences for a high negative xp.I don't hate jedi I just want it to be a thrill when I use my saber instead of it just being an uber template which is all it is now.
As others have stated, it's too late to be "Real" Star Wars anymore, but I also agree Storm Troopers should attack ANY jedi carrying a saber.
Bounty Hunter... Ooo, Jedi... KILLLLLLL!
Storm Trooper 1... There's a Jedi! Didn't the Emperor say they were all to be killed? (Storm Trooper 2 shrugs) Ah well.. so anyway, the wife comes home with this new droid, I'm not even gonna tell you how much it cost.... etc etc
When the CU was released there was a largesectionin it about the new GCW and in that Imperial Squads would be called in when Jedi we're in "public" places to deal with them. What ever happened to that???

It'd be largely pointless at the moment anyhow.
The NPCs in major cities are so weak, they're being frequently farmed by the opposite faction anyhow. Unless it was a huge group of them, and the Jedi were hindered from simply Force Running away, the Jedi would likely eat them all for breakfast anyway.
