Grouped with a toon named Kareen tonight. This was on the Corbantis server at around 6:30p this evening.

We grouped after Kareen had already downed the shield and killed two thugs.

With this in mind, we agreed that I had to be the one to capture the commander so that I could also get credit.

We proceeded to kill the remaining thugs. A message appeared on my screen that this had been achieved and it was time to get the commander.

Kareen proceeded to destroy the front gate and then draw the sith away.

I burst run into the camp and destroyed the inside gate.

I then ran into the tent and immediately used the radial menu to capture the commander.

At this same moment, Kareen biked into the camp and proceeded to draw the commander away as I burst run out to avoid all the sith attacking me.

We made it to the village and the commander disappeared.

Only Kareem got the completion and I cannot train in Accuracy.

What did we do wrong?

Based upon everyone's excellent input, and thank you BTW, I know what to do.

However,

Does this mean once our two man crew drops the shield, that we can add others to our group and beging the assault with out consequence?

I was just wondering and trying to confirm if we can then add others with out screwing it up.

So does this mean the quest is bugged? Gee whizer, what a suprise.

Also, only the person that takes down the shield get the completion now right?

I'm a little confused, did your friend Karrem capture the commander and lead him back to the village?

How did Kareen "draw" the commander out if you were the one to capture him?

Did you take the commander to the village or did you only capture him to let Kareen hand him over at the village? I did this quest tonight, just 4 hours ago (around 5pm +1 GMT), with a friend and we both got credit and crystals. Another question, did both of you accept the quest at the beginning?

I think you may have ran into trouble with the grouping. An "attempt" at this mission appears to begin when the shields are dropped. From the server's perspective, the first toon was initiating a solo attempt at this mission, because the toon was not grouped at the time. You probably have to be grouped when the first player drops the shields for this "attempt" to be flagged as a "grouped attempt". Only a guess, but the only difference between what you did and what I did was the group timing. My attempt as a group went without a hitch and we grouped just before dropping the shields.

I used the radio menu to capture him and he was in the camp at the same time.

As he left the camp, the commander followed him out even though he was not the one to capture him.

Also, if you read the text of the quest, what we did should not matter.

I also recieved messages that I could now go and capture the commander just as though I was an active member of the quest.

I think you are correct and this was my conclusion as well. Just that the text for the quest and the messages across my screen do not support the theory, only the result.

What else is new, bad code that has never been fixed.

Jus thave to try again.

Some of the ground/space missions when grouping to complete a quest, you get onscreen messages, but you don't actually get credit for the mission. What I have been told, and what I have read on this mission, is that you have to be grouped before the shields are dropped. Otherwise, it is going to run as if it were a solo attempt. You can still do some of the mission objectives, like capture, and get onscreen messages (as these messages are shared with the group) but you won't get credit for it. The quest reward is only given if it is done as a group mission. Since he dropped the shields before you grouped the quest was being run as if it were solo.

As long as both have taken the quest at some point, you only need to group before dropping the shields.

Adding others to the group won't screw anything up, but I don't think more than 2 can get credit from one base. I would suggest that those that are helping you NOT group with you -- the Sith will not automatically aggro anyone who does not have the mission or is not grouped with someone who does.
