Well, what can i say

PHASE 3, has been like a blinding light

I am now fully aware of all the problems with this game

I now no longer care...

I am cancelling my account as of today...

SOE, u really messed up with this mission, so many people unhappy, and leaving the game, and I am one of them...

it has been fun, I will admit, but Phase 3 has been the final nail in the coffin...

back to real life, and more importantly, having fun...

oh , and thanks, trying to get that commander to walk 2 - 6k was soooo enjoyable...

thk 4 that

I'm glad to see at least one of the village quests is doing its job.

It would be one thing if the quest was free from bugs, but it is clearly not. Yesterday on 4 separate attempts, we had the commander warp back to the base after having already walked 1k from it. Each time we just put noses to the grindstone and went back and got him again. On one of those, we got him within 52m of the village gate before he died.

Filed a ticket about the warping, which I think is caused by him falling through geometry. CSR-AnnaT in all her brilliance sent a canned reply about him being on a timer, yada, yada, yada...not one mention of the problem I actually reported about him warping back to base. "Working as intended". Thanks SoE for intending to publish a buggyazz game...

Oh...how 'bout turrets that hit from over 1600m....THAT intended too??????????

One of my friends got killed by omikron turret that was on steriods, clone at a shrine more than 1600m away and got caught in a death loop as the turret continued to kill him every time he appeared.Makes it REALLY hard to keep people helping when these horrible bugs continue to go unfixed.

No Patience = No Jedi

Patience for a good, difficult quest is one thing. Patience with these horrible bugs is quite another. Perhaps those who replied patience is the key have forgotten how to care about their fellow players or didn't read the problems posted, beyond the fact this is taking a lot of time for some.

I've been in the village for over a year. I'm no whiney, ground-out-all-of-jedi-during-respec/double-xp-person. I have very much enjoyed the slow and occassionally not steady progress I have made in my path to jedi. This isn't a whine about it taking long. It's a rant that these bugs are just sloppy work by the devs. These bugsare wasting a lot of peoples' time and ruining the enjoyment of the game.

My friend and I teamed up on this one and it went straight through till the end. beautiful. very enjoyable. it was an 'edge of your seat'...nail biting...hair pulling thrill ride of a quest.

Looted a bunch of frequencies...walkedour path back from the base to the village to look it over....turned in the frequencies tillwe got the basewe wanted...by the timewe got out to the base it reset as if just for us...not another player in sight.

Turrets? The problem must be unique to some servers or something....one word for the turrets...weak. They dropped like rocks. Sith thugs? Who cares... Now the commander is lazy I'll give him that...lazy and obstinate...he doesn't WANTto be taken to the village...he's the enemy after all, who said he was supposed tobe eagerto follow you? We almost lost him in the bottom of the gulches a couple of times, he turned around maybe 5 times or so...but we got him back pretty quick...takes a sharp eye and quick reflexes. Those minor difficulties don't include passing through spawns of nightsister slaves and gaping spiders.

Now I helped a friend do this quest long before the CU and THAT was hard. Instant death for those of us luring the sith away from the front of the baseonly to clone and run back to be sacrificedat the next sith spawn. This dumbed down combat system has effectively neutered the sith...lets face it...they're soft. So you can probably have iteither way...hard or hard. Its a hard quest...it was hard before...its hard now.

I can tell you we had a thrill ride like few things left in this game...there was a time when alot of things were edgy in this game and they're all but gone now...be thankful you can enjoy something like this quest as one of the last things that might actually challenge you.

As for this village quest dong its job at discouraging the proliferation of weak minded jedi...maybe...if so its the only one left the others are all sorta easy for the most part...with the exception of the 'Village Cure' quest for persuasion (pre cu at least) now that was an exciting ride for crafters! Bugs?....couldn't find any bugs in this quest...everything worked exactly as I imagined it should...we did use the closest base and ONLY the closest base was considered.

We used the Delta base on Scylla which is closest at just over 2k. Course 3 times in a row he warped back after walking 1km, making it a 3k+ attempt. We figured we'd try a base 3k away and that became a 4k attempt.

Glad you had a fine time with it. I have helped groups that also didn't have these bugs. I've watched other groups also finish bug free. Sure wish I and some others were having the same luck.

I hear you about the bugs...we were fortunate to be sure.

I wonder if anyone is gonna pursue the 'bait-and-switch' lawsuit...or maybe the 'failure to deliver the product as promised' argument...

Even if there are bugs, they will eventually be fixed. If you truly have patience, then the fact that there are bugs is irrelevant. It's not necessarily a race. It's only a waste of time if those people choose to see it that way.

It is the journey that is important, not the destination.

You quoted my post, but obviously didn't read it... I am obviously in no race, but enduring these horrid bugs is in no way enjoyable.

glad i did not do this mission for a stupid crystal and health buff crystal lol .... i did it the easy way and did degins mission and did it in the 3 days it naturaly takes =) jedi here i come ..... but i do feel for the people in a way , now they gotta either do this mission or wait til phase 4 to unlock( if this was the last skill they needed) .

damn crystal gets alot of people weirded out over it .......

my 2 cents - fs skills mean and do nothing for your character imho .. now peeps will say " yes they do" but that is their opinion.... i am willing to bet that 99.9 of the population did the mission for the crystal .........

The mission certainly brings out the worst in some people. Even before the bugs start, peoplewho've been waiting patiently for turrets to spawn have to deal with groups swooping in and lowering the shields without a word to the group assembled in clear view. This never happened to me, but I've heard it from others.

Also get people who don't know how the mission really works and are frustrated. One our missions where the commander warped back after 1200m, we went back to get him and man the words that were exchanged by the group that was in there trying to figure out how to escort a commander that wasn't theirs... Profanities, "gonna report you's"...you name it.

I love the concept of the mission. I don't mind the variables introduced by the other players, the time it takes or it's difficulty. My sole complaint is that a couple of obvious and major bugs have plagued my group attempts at this missions for days. (oh and usual complaint about getting a canned csr reply that had nothing to do with the problems actually reported)
