breaks, flying around in space, PvP, dedication to the idea of finally getting a glowstick, oh yeah and a fair amount of J.D
my grind is done without nades at my own pace, not worried if it takes me a year to unlock and 3 to get my template finished. in the end i just want the satisfaction of having a character that i am happy with, that i worked for, and that i enjoyed creating
i have unlocked 5 branches, but only filled 2 and 2 boxes in @15 weeks. the only branch i "grinded" as such was the craft line i got, cause i was bored and sat around crafting in the village for quite a few hours.
the rest of my time is spent running missions, the story arc quests, flying in space getting towards pilot ace, killing one of my friends as we test new weaps and specials, changing my template continuosly, and generally having a ball

I feel the exact same way
I havent grinded since the begining of phase one. It's really tiring some times and it seems almost impossible to attain everything, and i am very discouraged about the pawadam unlock mission with killing tht guy. I dont think i can get people to help me with it :/ wehn the time comes. Even tht seems so far away plus im broke ingame. Heck atleast u guys can fly around in space or pvp. I cant do either because 1 i dont have JTL and two Im just a swordsmen/doc pvp takes 20 seconds to put me down. It's just downright depressing. So now im trying to auction off some stuff so i can have some decent money for swordsmen armor and other special loot tht everyone seems to have except me.

That is exactly why the grind is the way it is.
Some will be discouraged by the Phase change wait.
Some will get discouraged by the FS XP grind
And those that make it past those may get discouraged by the Jedi Grind.
Patience and determination are what kept me going

What keeps me going is listening to metal while I grind
and knowing that it is going to pay off in the end because I will be getting something that I really want and have worked hard to achieve. accomplishment.

Enjoy game you can make whole fsxp someday...welll
All you need is22,350,000 combat xp ( minimum for all 6 branches )
Or 223,500,000 weapon xp
If you dont like grinding. you can count how many days u need to have all fsxp with ur own daily xp u earning.

depends how quick you want to unlock, if you want it A.S.A.P., then constant grinding is going to be boring, it's guarenteed, But if you just play at your own pace, convert when you cap, it won't be boring, because you will be just playing as usual, it will be slower, no doubt, but the thing you have to realise is, you are already on the path to jedi, nothing can take that away from you, so it doesn't matter what you do, whether it be boring or insanely exciting, everything you do takes you closer to jedi.
My advice, play the game, do what you did before FS, kill krayts, night sisters, do some quests, get with some groups, eventually, you will look at those boxes & be like "wow, i did it, when did that happen?"
Easier said than done, but the fun way, is always the best way

After awhile you get into "grinding mode" and just do it without thinking.
The single greatest deterrent to me was just getting myself set up to go grind - buffs, grenades, whatever. It was quite a chore, but thinking about doing it vs. actually just starting to grind was the barrier I had to overcome.
Just go out and start grinding. You'll fall into "grind mode" in no time, and soon you're buffs will be about over and you'll be a little closer to Jedi.
If you really really don't feel like grinding, try to get one buff session in. If you can't muster the effort, go find some friends and have fun. Tear up the Geo caves, get on a Corvette run, or just go wandering on some random planet.
Don't push yourself if you really don't want to grind or you'll burn out. Give it a shot and see if you can just get the grind started. If you really can't do it, then don't push it.
To be honest, the Village grind was so intense that once I got my Jedi, I took a break and didn't grind very much once I got Novice Lightsaber. I needed to have fun in the game before I started the "real" grind. I did some template shifting, played in space. I read a book and caught up on some TV. I learned a new song on guitar. Don't forget to unplug for awhile, it'll set you back on the grind, sure...but when you come back refreshed you'll be more determined than ever to get that Jedi rockin'.

After "working" my way through my first crafting profession (Armorsmtih), I ground all the others (Artisan, DE, Shipwright....Merchant don't count) because I already had a firm grasp of the crafting system and quickly learned the nuances of my new professions.
I also promised myself I'd never grind anything ever again...
When the Jedi revamp came, I lacked only a trip to the Warren to get "glowing" and put it off until this past Saturday simply because I didn't want to grind again. The old man visited today, now I wait for the Sith to arrive...
I'm taking this path not to grind, but to have another goal. I hunt daily to keep my vendor stocked with organics and I have been maxed in both rifle and unarmed xp and combat xp for some time now. Now I have something to do with all that xp. I'm not going out to get it specifically, but at least it will now do me some good.
My point? Don't grind. Just play the game. The FS thing is just another bit of content for you. Go out and hunt with buddies, do POI's, basically enjoy yourself. Sure, you aren't going to pump out FSXP, but you won't get burned out either.
My brother was a victim of the hologrind. After over 20 professions (and close to 30 I believe) he finally gave up, quit SWG and got a girlfriend (who is now his wife...go figure). He got burned out.
Me? Well, if I ever DO see Jedi, it won't be because I ground it out, but because it was just one more step in my (almost 2 year old) characters life.
