Thread: Is my CL high enough for Sith Shadows?

I just talked with the old man this morning so I'm waiting for the Sith Shadows to show up but I'm a bit concerned, at CL 65, will I be big enough to handle them solo?

....Also, what's the normal wait time for the Sith to appear?

Thanks.

Well, the level 75 and 77 Sith Shadows that came after me a few minutes ago easily tore me apart. If I could get two that didn't attack with ranged weapons I'd have a chance since their melee damage output wasn't half of what their ranged was against my resists.

Oh well.....starting to consider a respec to a ranged profession now

Get a couple high levelfriends and group with them for a couple days. When the sith come you'll destroy them.

Was never intended to be easy :/

With my temp I got the negative bonuses too but can handle a few of them with Cob and BactaInfusion on but a hole easier when only group with a cl80 to get the positive bonuses from the cl ladder

WHy not just work to CL80 so you can take them both yourself? Having a plan that means you are going to Burst Run and let others clean your mess doesn't really sound like that great of a plan to me. Just being honest. I mean all the missions (well most) you have to do at the village require you to kill level 76-77 Sith. What are you going to do then?? Just seems to me you would save yourself so much time and headache by just leveling to 80. I've solo'd all missions at 80 and am glad I did. No need to depend on others to be online and have free time to help you out. I am not sure of your template or why you are only CL65 since it is not listed in your sig, so for now I would recommend leveling to 80 and dusting them yourself. There is no hurry to be Jedi anyway, going to take you at least 18 weeks regardless. My as well make it easy on yourself and hit 80.

Sorry can't agree with you theEwokDude not everyone likes being a double Elite Comat Profession and in the Star Wars Universe not all Jedis where combatant too.

Beside of the entry (and exit)quest(s) you can fill many branches without fighting and many only do the entry quest to enhance their skills abouve master and the +25 on clothes (yes it's also meaned that way the village)

There should be SP for combat and another for non-combat
Reminds me that Anakin Skywalker was Shipwright, Droid Engineer and Artisan

My second toon will surely be a double master in crafting grinding combat experience is reapeating, annonying and surely not the way of a Jedi. Poor animals
On all other Star Wars games you didn't get Jedi XP for bying the greatest fragger but fro discovering secrets and based on your playwise you got dark or light

I agree 100% Data. I am not a big fan of how the system is setup now. I am signed up asa helper for Crafter's on my server that wish to do the village for bonuses because of their low CL, so I understand your point. My suggestion was based off the poster seemingly wanting to start down the path of Jedi at CL65 instead of working up to 80. Maybe he doesn't want to be a double elite, but it would most certainly help and make the Sith that much easier. Not just these Sith, but most of the phase missions. You can't unlock 6 non combat branches so no matter what he will have to battle Sith again. With the speed of leveling now it wouldn't take that much longer to master two elite professions either.

I feel your pain. I have recieved the crystal from the Old Man about 5 times because I keep getting Ganked by the level 75 77 Sith Shadows. Now, whenever I log on, I sit in my house until I have a group big enough to take them out.

Here is the tactic I am trying and I will let you know if it works or not:

I have my group with me and they stay together (I am CL66 by the way). When the Sith show up, I plan on Burst running away while my group blasts the hell out of the first one. When he is down and they start in on the second one, I turn around and come back to help.

Not very Jedi-like, but Sony wants every Jedi to be CL80 for some insane reason. It surely doesn't lead to any creative and unique Jedi builds...

I will try again to get "jumped" on Wednesday and post my success.... Anyone else have a tactic that works??

I am guessing you are all correct about not all jedi knights being fighters but can you tell me one that was not good at fighting?

It is a good statement. Just want some proof. I know not all were super fighters but I do believe all could handle a saber well. It is part of training.

Can not be a paddy without the eye covering halmet and floting ball. Remeber the little kids? Some became generals or healers but all could fight.

Just for an update....I had a CL80 friend follow me around for a while hoping to find the Sith but they never showed up. Since I prefer to be independant and enjoy soloing, I'm grinding my way up to CL80 now so I can handle the Sith solo. To the point made in a previous post, I'm also going this route because of the high level Sith that I'll be facing in the village quests.

Since I have one respec remaining....what combat profession combination is most effective against the Sith that you go up against in the village quests? Right now I'm considering Master Bounty Hunter and Master Rifleman with a little Combat Medic thrown in for healing.

Edit: Forgot to mention...when the Sith killed me as commented on in my earlier post, I was facing them as a Teras Kasi Master witha fewSwordsman skills anda fewDoctor skills.

my combat FS toon is Master Commando/ master rifles / 4xxx cm.......allows me to wear great compostite armor. I can tank 5-7 sith , but it all depends on your play style, the sith can be taken by melee just as easily as ranged. I grinded the village stuff on another toon that was master pike / master doc.
